2000 Nissan Maxima 5sp, bought it with 115,000 miles handed it down to my kid 10 years later at 220,000 miles only did oil changes , did some suspension work ( kid i bought it from had it slammed with cut springs ) and routing brakes and tires
It now has around 260k miles and still going .

Owned 3 Fords in my lifetime (I am oldcell).
1st - won't say what it was cuz you will die laughing. 356,000 miles
2nd - 1989 Mustang. 260,000 miles before it was stolen.
3rd - 2000 Mustang. 361,200 current miles (and counting).
All original motors/transmissions with no work done on them (other than usual maintenance).
So that is 977,000 lifetime miles. Those 3 cars cost a combined $43,000 bought brand new.
Just got lucky I think.

rest were accidents (none my fault)
basically just need an oil change twice a year and they're good to go

The 2j has plenty of top end with the right turbo but for smoothness nothing beats a UZ v8

I'm afraid to say. I'd likely jinx the car. Have a sport car though that is nearly 16 years old, that has been through a lot and yet never had an issue. I guess the worst issue wasn't the cars fault. Someone backed into the car, putting a nice dent into the bumper. That is pretty much it.
Least reliable car was a VW/Porsche 914. Basically a VW car with a Porsche badge that nearly everyday had something go wrong with it. It kept me in shape with all the walking I'd end up having to do after being stranded by the side of the road.

oil pressure sensor failed, the cluster would go out occasionaly. The soft top started having some leaking issues after 7 or so New England winters. The water seeping in shorted one of the power window locks at that point.

The most reliable I had was probably early Hondas and Toyotas that I beat the chit out of. I will tell you though, the least reliable I ever had was a Jeep Wrangler. I had a 2008 Rubicon that couldn't go a 3 month stretch without something failing.

Bought 02 Camry brand new, still own it to this day as a beater. Can't say i beat it up and cant say i took care of it either. Still running like a dream @ 199K miles. I expect to see lots of Hondas and Toyotas in this thread

210k on it before rust finally claimed her. Understandable since it was driven through salt water regularly. Other than that, only lost the steering pump @ 175k because I was wheeling on it when it was -30 degrees. 500$ fix and she kept ticking.
