If you like this sort of game it’s a must play. And the FEELS trip it takes you on is crazy; only Route E ending of Nier Automata comes close.

If you bros haven’t played Nier Automata don’t you dare google route E.

I love the fact that there is absolutely no progression beyond you learning more and figuring things out. If you were smart/lucky enough you could beat the game within 15 minutes of starting.

Realizing what secrets you’ve walked past 50 times is an unparalleled feeling. Only downside of that approach is that the game has no replayability.

No replayability is ok. The Telltale games and Life is Strange got one playthrough, but they always stick out in my mind.

If you enjoyed Telltale and LiS, Outer Wilds is the best game you’ve never played. It will knock your dick in the dirt.

I didn’t like it. Don’t play outer wilds if you don’t like puzzle games. The premise is cool, but after a few hours of just looking around with no idea what to do or how to progress I just uninstalled. I didn’t want to have to look up walkthroughs. I guess I prefer games to be a bit more linear than this. I could see the appeal though just not for me

-tinykin came out this year and is good

-pentiment I guess is indie even though MS published. Had a really small team size

-vampire survivors is addictive

All above on game pass

World of goo, Hades, limbo, journey are others I like. I’m sure I’m forgetting many.

There’s a Vampire Survivors-like called survivio for phones that’s alright. For a free to play game it captures a good amount of the VS feel.
