I have a Puerto Rican friend from the Bronx (he's an OG on here) that I lifted with before and he dedicated the song to me. He's spotted me a few times at Powerlifting events. When the song is in my ears, I can imagine him pushing me for another rep or another 10 on the bar.

This. I have tried several times when driving to play a mix of new rap songs and always end up reverting to the classics like and old man.

Now I just rather listen to podcast and audiobooks.

Never liked rap music. For someone who can actually play an instrument, i don't really care for negro spirituals full of auto tune and rappers who couldn't write a melody to save their life

Lyrics are usually gay af too. The ****gits who resonate with rap try too hard.

At best, the only lyrics that resonate with me are ones where they talk about making money and the grind but that's it

I was a massive Eminem fan growing up, and listening to his music naturally drew me to other rappers - Jay-Z, Nas, Rakim, and others.

But that was a long time ago. I quickly grew out of that phase, and I cringe hard whenever I hear any sort of rap song nowadays. I sometimes scratch my head and wonder how I even listened to this trash in the first place (outside of Eminem)
