Well these posts make sense, I was reading a lot into carbs since finding out My A1C was 5.8.

I know everyone's body is different, but what macro breakdown is optimum? I tried Keto and don't like it, messes with your electrolytes making it dangerous and it's just more maintenance you gotta worry about.

At the end of the day, I don't think carbs matter at all if you do cardio. Carbs only becomes a problem when you sit on the couch after consuming a carb heavy meal.

to make matters worse, he is actually anti soy too. i'm telling u this dude legit said to eat nothing but carbs. then he said your dietary fat could all be met from the fiber in the carbs getting converted to butyrate (fatty acid) in your gut. completley insane.

i don't avoid carbs in social situations... if i'm out to lunch/dinner with someone and it's a sandwich place, **** it... i'm eating bread and won't die

but if i'm just handling my own business, staying away from carbs just makes things so much better

Fair enough, but I would extend this to average lifters as well, many people have this idea that they need carbs immediately after lifting, or even between sets, everybody’s got their Gatorade, it’s like what the **** are you doing? In what universe does an average lifter need 400g of carbs? and speaking of people like Layne Norton, an absolute joke, he looks like absolute shiet, puts two cans of monster in front of him, which is truly a pathetic display, and then gets absolutely mogged by Sean baker. Lol

how many grams of carbs do you think you need to replete the glycogen you burn following, let's say, your standard push workout

In all seriousness it’s very individual, you have to do a little bit of careful slow experimentation,

electrolytes should never be an issue on keto, assuming you put them back in, especially if you’re just starting low carb and your body is not used to it, you can use a good electrolyte powder like Dr. Bergs, or something else, and you will never have an issue, it’s that first time that you may have a little bit of a keto flu,

what seems to work well for me is to use carbs only on occasion strategically, before lifting if I feel weak or flat, or before bed a small amount of complex carbs to help with serotonin release, which converts to melatonin, so you can sleep,

But notice this last part about being sleepy after carbs, most people are always sleepy, do you know how many countries have a siesta? Imagine you just woke up literally just had lunch and immediately you need to go back to sleep, what the ****? That’s because these stupid fat morons are always eating bread and coffee for breakfast and for lunch!!

this sums it up pretty well

the catch is that obviously heavy carb (or ethanol) intake will shut down fat burning

so you really only get the advantage, such as it is, by having an accompanying low fat intake

srs

the exception wood be if you are eating gigantic amounts of carbs, but you'd really have to be gorging yourself

I barely eat any sugar or carbs, not because of some nerdy diet program, but because I hate sweet crap

I always have tons of energy and never get sick. Meat and vegetables ftw

dextrose sports drinks are the best for carb replenishing and availability during long athletic type events. And just fruit and nuts in morning.

Only time I feel like I really need even a full oatmeal would be for maybe a 10mile + run/hike later in the day or a long swim, mile +.

Need quick processing and quick consumption, dextrose drinks like Gatorade work for what they are intended for.

Ok, seriously, i used to do pretty good with 1.5 g/lb protein and 0.5-0.6 g/lb fat, the rest carbs around training. So at 200 lbs for me it was 300 grams protein, 100 grams fat, and the rest carbs. As I got older I got worse and worse with carbs. They made me more and more sleepy and hungry. When doing Keto IF I don’t count fats at all, since why bother? I’m trying to get my 300g protein that always worked well for me, I know many people prefer lower intakes. And the rest is just calorie counting, so whatever grams of fat end up being, it’s what it is.

On carb ups I kept fat super low. As low as possible.

The weekend of IF Keto turbo Chad:

- Wake up and have a 9/10 HBB run her fingers on your washboard abs in bed and admire your smooth skin from all the water, avocado, olive oil, organic raw grass fed butter, and omega 3s.

- hop out of bed with ease and make a morning beverage, perhaps matcha green tea, or keto coffee.

- optionally strategically use carbs for a carb-up, all carbs go to muscle glycogen because depletion, enjoy bagels while maintaining paper thin stomach skin. Or a small dose of carbs to power a workout. Or some complex carb before bed for serotonin release, converts to melatonin for sleep.

- do cardio session with effortless ease, and wonder why you don’t get tired or cramps no matter how long or fast you run.

- enjoy a positive day with smooth energy because stable blood sugar.

- get compliments from friends, colleagues and family about how you look 15 years younger than your real age.

- put on same size pants you wore when you were 18.

The weekend of a carbcel:

- wake up at 5 am to pee because sugar and carbs

- pee in the sink because sore and lazy to pee in toilet.

- while peeing look in the mirror with a sense of guilt, and see zits and bad skin from all the preservatives, sugar, soy, gluten, and processed cheap dairy.

- pop one of the zits with white puss from all the maltodextrin, MSG, and cheap supplements from GNC coming out of it.

- wipe the popped zit on your underwear and go back to sleep.

- wake up at 11:30 because neighbor using the leaf blower.

- walk around all day hungry, looking at that ripe soggy banana sitting on the kitchen counter.

- use some gay app to keep track of calories because hungry all day.

- have a sports drink with 50 grams fake artificial sugar because 3 sets of chest! So need glycogen…

- take the smelliest sheit of your life because all the gluten from the bread.

- Eat a potato and walk around like 9 months pregnant because bloating since no amylase to digest the potato.

- go to sleep while pinching your 20% bodyfat belly skin with a sense of suspicion that perhaps it’s time to try IF and Keto. Have nightmare about Sean Baker destroying Layne Norton in debate.
