Ya, I plan on doing a few videos. I actually seldom watch YouTube vids, but the marlingbaits guy does actually sound familiar

These are mostly trolling baits, so I use a Shimano Tekota 600 LC. For casting heavy stuff I use a Diawa lexa 400, or an abu garcia revo toro beast.

Next year I want to do a video where I stop the boat on shore, rough out a jerkbait out of a small maple tree with an axe, screw in some hook eyes and add hooks, and see if I can catch a musky.

Those are going to be goldeneye decoys.

I have them roughed out, just need to finish them.

I hunt over some I carved when I was 18, but have always wanted a full dozen and a half that I carved. I poured the lead weights already. They will be flocked, which means the decoy surface will be fuzzy to the touch, which adds to the realism, and eliminates glare.

Really cool. I imagine you put even more time into making them give the action you want versus the appearance. Are you duplicating shapes you know work, or just experimenting?

Awesome. Never been duck hunting but it always looked fun. Has to be pretty rewarding to catch a fish on your own lure or shoot a duck over a flock of decoys you made.

Nice man. We did Eagle this year. Had 90 musky to the boat. We caught a few also, but man they were tough to make eat

I did trial and error last year. I can see musky lures that work as well, and you get an idea of what those attributes are that make them work.

The rainbow trout lure was just on a whim. I tested it and it swam super well, so I went with it.

I been wanting to do it for a while now.

The other one I want to do it by one of those old school 1970s collapsible pocket fisherman things and catch every species of fish with it.

10/10 my buddy makes rods pretty cool my guy send me one and I’ll catch a Florida fish either a large mouth bass or salt water for some snook

We have several species of shiner. By green backs you mean largemouth? We have largemouth, but way more smallies here.
