Okay boomer. A good quality beard oil does not leave your beard oily/greasy/sparkly. You just don't know wtf you're doing or you used cheap chit. I'm going with all of the above.

Guys that have more products than women are fgts. The fuk is wrong with you? I've had a beard for 5 years and it's about 2" long on my chin, but about 1/2" everywhere else. I tried beard oil once b/c I got it as a gift, not for me. I tried that waxy shyt once, not for me. Wash it, comb it, it's fine. Don't need products to make me feel pretty.

The oil I use just keeps my skin and beard healthy, and the scent is coordinated with my cologne.

The longer your beard gets, the more "resources" it pulls from your face. It can lead to dry skin and dry/brittle beard. The oil helps replenish. Oil is less useful the shorter your beard is.


But it's not like it's VITAL. Your face isn't going to fall off if you don't use oil. Also, getting the proper nutrients/vitamins via your diet is more important. Most people don't have any sort of proper diet though.


Oil doesn't do much to tame your beard, other than making it a bit heavier as the hair absorbs the oil. I've had beards of every length. There's a very noticeable difference when I have a longer beard if I use or don't use oil.

I get beard dandruff bad. Tried honest amish,conditioner have to usually put skin lotion and massage it in to tame it. Fkn sucks. Dry as fuk in winter

it's not a scam, it help to avoid the skin beneath getting too dry/flaky

I have a long ass beard and beard oil is all I use when it comes to products (besides a beard wash obviously, but only 1-2 times a week, other days just water)

those saying it makes your beard shiny and greasy: maybe you're using too much or applying it wrong (you should rub it on the SKIN, not on the hairs or some chit) because it shouldn't be doing that lol

and those that say it's not necessary, you either have a short/thin beard or skin of the gods, if the latter good for you but the majority of people doesn't and it helps

escpecially in winter it helps me since the face takes quite a beating

Maybe a bit. It just helps moisten your skin and prevents it from drying out. You can use many different oils, though. Beard oil has perfumes and stuff integrated. I used to use the pine smelling ones when I had a longer beard so that my face smelled like the deep forest. I don't use beard oil anymore.

Get yourself some Jamaican Black Caster.
No chemical bs, conditions the beard and the skin underneath.
Also gets the beard to Giga Chad levels of thickness and fullness. Same with your hair providing its not thin and naturally oily.

Just don't get the stuff on your eyes lids and lashes or you'll almost certainly get a stye.

Most men have dry skin( especially in winter months) period...... so any moisturizer/oil is a good thing.

I use it to help moisturize my face, my beard gets pretty dry during the winter.

I also use a little on my head stubble after cutting my hair with clippers

Absolutely not a scam, I have about 10 different ones right now.

The benefits of many ingredients on hair such as avocado, jojoba, argan etc are well documented. I usually shampoo/condition then use a straightener at low temp followed with oil then comb with a fine tooth brush then follow with a Double sided boar brush.

Both. Mostly on the shorter side but I've grown it long a few times. I use a face moisturizer that gets to the skin even through a thick beard. So that works for my whole face, I don't need two products.
