lmfao one time I accidentally brushed against this big guy inside the train and he literally went off yelling and cursing at me. started spitting on the floor next to me ready to stab me or some sht idk. I had my back turned to him ignoring everything he's saying but I could see him from the reflection in the window the entire time. Freaking out everyone around. The guy was having a bad day i assume lol. I got off at the next stop and re-entered the train at a different section in the front to avoid the lunatic.

Curious what your impressions were of things like health care (if you ever had to use it), cost of living and crime. Obviously bad areas for sure, I've heard that some areas of the city they basically tell regular people don't go there because there's so many criminal immigrants. Truth?

What would it cost per month for an average couple to rent a half decent place and buy groceries for a month?

Did you ever go to le grande mosquee? They have the absolute BEST baklava desserts. Also their mint tea was great. Beautiful building too.

I loved eating in the Senegalese neighborhood can't recall the name but they had some great food.

It's a great city for walking. One of the best in the world if you enjoy walking around, lots of beautiful buildings everywhere, it's one of the best places to just wander around

- Healthcare: never used it sorry I couldn't tell you. I made a few trips back and forth to the USA to visit my family and while there I would do all my medical checks, dentist, vision, physicals, etc.
- Cost of living is pretty high tbh.. and you do not get a lot with the money you are spending.
-our 42m apartment was 1657 euros per month not including electricity, gas, internet. and TBH it was a pretty good find. Below is a picture of the living room, bedroom, and kitchen if you're interested to see what it looked like.





-groceries are pretty expensive. You will spend like 60 euros for like 2 nights worth of dinner prep and leave with not much. especially chicken, steak, fish are pretty expensive.

Ive lived in Florence for many months also. What a beautiful city. I wouldnt live there as its very old and completely fuk'd with tourists bumping shoulder to shoulder. Here is a pic I took last month around christmas time at the ponte vecchio. Wife's family has a very nice apartment overlooking the river there. It is almost always like that and I find it so annoying to even leave the house at some times.



I have been all over italy except for Venice, and the south. We will be visiting the Amalfi coast, Napoli, Sicily, Puglia as much as we can this summer.

Living in Italy you start to miss alot of the first world luxuries you get so used to in the USA. (airconditioning, nice big modern kitchens, large roads, etc.)

Isn't French the most spoken European language in Africa? When I was at high school quite a number of the French teachers were from places like Cameroon & The Congo.

Steak was nothing special. One thing I missed the most was my dads BBQ (steak, frilled chicken, etc) he would make for my mom and my brothers and I. I think italian coffee is much better.
