It's a pretty well known brand in the Mini PC world. There are a decent amount of reviews on it and a couple of bigger reviewers have it as their #1 or top 3 Mini pc currently. Coupled with the extra $100 off on sale I went with it.

Edit: Also asked the same question on a couple Discord groups and beelink was recommended there. So the misc rec of a mini pc/NUC and then seeing a couple people recommending a specific mini pc brand had me pull the trigger.

If all you do is basic internet stuff, and no gaming, video editing, steaming, etc just get a Mac Mini 2.

It runs Apples custom M2 processor, which kills anything else except for very high end intel or amd chips that you don’t need. It’s only got 8GB of RAM, and a tiny SSD, but everything is stored on a cloud solution these days so who cares? The big selling point is apples vertical integration which means they control the hardware, and the software for efficiency.

I realize i came off a negative. I don't mean it like that. I just like sticking to bigger brands, as the tech translate into smaller packages too - and their volume makes their prices very competitive. Lenovo, Asus etc. You have an issue you won't be speaking to Xiu in Wuangang province.

i bought a used computer desktop for 60$ and it does all that. lol at wanting to spend 1k.

look into your local selling websites. plenty of people buy old off lease office computers and just clean em up and do fresh OS installs and resell for cheap. dell/lenovo

No worries. I understand I'm really taking a gamble on some no name Chinese brand. It may end up being a terrible purchase, but from what I could tell the specs are much better than any of the other name brand options for that price range. Beelink is saying they use "name brand" components like Crucial RAM etc, but I really have no idea what I'm talking about. For $545 though I figured I would roll the dice. If it fuucks up within the first 30 days I'll return it.

I have a Lenovo Ideapad 3. Was a little over $1k

16gb of ram, Intel I5 cpu, can run most mid-level games. Fast af.

Best laptop I've owned. Only downside is its a little heavy if you plan on carrying it around

Yeah, it might be a little moronic to spend much more than I need to since my habits are mostly browsing. I spent $915 total with a new 4k monitor and keyboard. If it can last me 8 years like my current one has I'm more than happy paying $115 a year for it. I didn't want to go extra cheap because I want it to be more than capable in the future with whatever I may throw at it. Extra screens, streaming, etc.

Had this up and running since Friday. Much faster than my previous desktop and it's a little bit bigger than my palm. Comes with mounting hardware to mount to the back of my monitor if I want to really conceal it too. So far I'm very happy, but we will see how long it lasts. Will update the thread if it dies on me.

Dont do it, they sound good on paper until you actually get it and realize how slow it is. If you are set on getting once, make sure its a top end cpu and now a lower spec celeron.

Edit: nvm you did it already lol. Although the one you bought is good spec wise so theres that. Really the only thing you have to worry about is longevity. It will either die in a few months or not at all.
