I owe about $40k from the last 2 years. It'll be over 50k after I file this year.

Thread makes me feel a little better....still pissed that I have to write the check.

I just got a 10% raise too..... that will bump us to the next bracket up. Hello 24% next year.....Definitely going to owe even more next year.

I'm supposed to get 60 dollars from my state. It's been almost 2 months, and I still haven't got it. Funny when I owed money, they immediately took money out of my bank account, but now that they owe me, it's different.

I was venting to a friend about just this yesterday and I was pissed honestly.... I have to waste money owing on taxes for these liberal ***gots to piss it away on either Jewcrane or just on the dumbest ****

Yep.

Also have a buddy who just had a kid at the end of the year, wife quit work around May and he makes like $50k/year....getting back several thousand. They also get govt handouts & free healthcare for the kid

meanwhile My wife and I grossed $210k, both claimed "0" and still owe $3500.....just paid $6k (after insurance covered whatever the fuk they covered) to have our baby in February, going to cost me another $190/month to add her to my insurance b/c we don't qualify for handouts,

........Not to mention all my other friends in our general income range....they all owe too and are in the same boat. Do well and you're used to subsidies the "less fortunate"

What's the incentive anymore? Should just rot and suck on the govt tit.

I use cashapp taxes which used to be creditkarma tax which I've been using since 2017. It's fast as **** and free. This year I would of owed nearly zero and got nearly zero back either. But I massaged the state part this year and got a little back. You gotta pick your battles.

Paid in more than the median income this year, then owed another 2k. Can't complain based on AGI, but still fukin ridiculous and it'll be squandered, which is what bothers me.

I may consider getting an apt in tax free state and avoid state income tax. Better yet, maybe in Puerto Rico.
