I own a lawn and landscape company. Not sure how many yards of mulch, etc. you are installing but i get between 150-200/yd to install. They could be gouging, but maybe they aren't? Do you know how much a new truck, trailer, lawn equipment, insurance, fuel, etc. costs? The bare minimum i can charge someone out to turn a profit is $75/hr....and im talking a low level operator who just mows and trims.

New work truck is 60 grand, 10 grand for a new trailer, a new commercial zero turn STARTS OUT at 10 grand. The cost of goods and services are through the roof. There will always be shady service companies, so i would get more than one quote to vet them.
