Triple pendulums are used as examples of choatic motion, where unless the starting condition is exactly identical in every way, the motion of the pendulum is wildly different every time. This robot is accounting for microscopic changes to the system balance on a nanosecond level in order to maintain this level of control. TL;DR this is a robot flexing its giga brain.

Not even gonna pretend I know what tf is going on here but judging by comments this is a helluva engineering and computing feat. Pretty neat. I still don't think any robot is gonna fix that Cornelius ED250 that's leaking all over the counter any time soon tho. The more complex and "smart" chit becomes the more work I have as nobody can figure chit out on their own anymore lol. I think I'm safe.

Interesting question. With AI taking tens of millions of jobs, labor is going to DIRT CHEAP. Like $7.25/hr cheap.

Maybe for menial jobs. But do you know you need a license, like a master electrician + insurance to be able to pull permits to work on peoples chit? Typically from the counties they're in

Tradies are specialized labor and I'm sure plumbing and hvac are the same.

I think the infrastructure there is rather complex even if ai robots were 100% ready to do a job right now. How are you going to insure ai robots on a construction team? Or how is ai gonna pull the permits? I would imagine a human is cheaper insurance too. Cause if an ai makes a mistake I think insurance rates would be higher on something like that

Yeah I don't mind hard work. The difference is no other man controls almost every aspect of my life and keeps 95% of my economic output for himself.

The guy who picks oranges and sells them by the overpass is 10x more alpha than a standard NPC wage slave.

I've been thinking a lot this weekend about this (srS). I make like 500k and I am on track to make high sig fix (750 to 900k), in just 3 years, but in all honesty, I have more in common with someone making 80k than all the actual rich elite people. they are on a different planet than me.

900k a year after taxes just makes you .....sort of rich...but you still need to keep that cash flow coming in (i.e. you need to wage slave HARD). To get to a point where you are making 800k to 1mm off investments annually....you need like 20 million. will take me probably my whole working life to get there slaving HARD (so I can enjoy my 60s lol).


I need to start a business, raise equity from other jokers (and earn a portion of their profits), or raise a ton a debt (become levered) and go for a home run. Those are the only ways to really make it. Sure you can make C suite in your early 50s and start clipping 10million dollar annual stock comp packages...but that takes WAY too long to get there.\

its all a game. seriously.

I imagine streamlining the process would eliminate a lot of these issues. Like boring a hole through a mountain, you don't need to build something as strong as John Henry, but strategize totally differently to optimize for any material or method you can think of-like a boring machine. A lot of menial jobs are going to be totally eliminated, warehouse work for example. You don't need a fast picker, you just need a organization system. The only or maybe last jobs that will survive are the tradies who can troubleshoot and fix chit.

This may sound like cope but does anyone here want to be doing the same job that they're currently doing 10-15 years from now? I know I don't. Some industries will need to shift around roles and duties of current employees, but its going to be more along the lines of; When a person retires/quits/gets fired they'll simply not replace the role. i'm not envisioning mass layoffs specifically because of AI.

I'm in an industry where we deal with proprietary systems, drugs undergoing clinical trials and the storage of tons of confidential files pertaining to Organizations and even individual people (HIPAA) we're not going to start inputting sensitive information into a website that is specifically meant to collect data to make itself smarter. ChatGPT would have to be sourced as a locked piece of software that is only accessible to a specific company, but that will defeat the whole purpose of it, because the only reason why it knows what it knows, is because of the data it collects.

I know the finance grind brah. I remember looking around at these boomers in their 50's and 60's, still pulling all nighters every month for Mr. Shekelstein (the constant dread of him chitcanning you on a whim), getting slooted on by their plastic catty wives, hammering out 350 corpo speak emails every day, and drinking/drugging more than GaryRidgway and Havoc combined.

And those were the dudes who "made it" because they had mid or high 7 figures in their bank accounts. I realized there was no way that was gonna be me.
