Mussolini took control of the Catholic Church and was controlling who got married. Before that, all evidence says he was atheist and was very vocal against the church.
His views are very well documented and easily accessible through books. State control of churches = fascism.

Hayek and Mises were right; they're all socialists.

If we do it your way, we will need to defend our borders and strictly vet everyone who goes in and out of churches. We'll also need to surround churches with soldiers in case they might invade us.

In fact, currently the federal government is in violation of federal law that prevents them funding planned parenthood. They are stealing money from small businesses and giving it to planned parenthood. That’s the kind of corruption the government and it’s agencies would have on churches if they could.

It sounds like people like you are the reason we need to keep them separate.

I'm surprised tbh that you claim fascists to be seculars with so much historical evidence of the contrary.

Now available in English for the first time, a controversial work that indicts the Vatican for its actions before and during World War II.In the decade preceding the outbreak of World War II, the Vatican made a devil's bargain with fascist leaders. Anticipating that their regimes would eliminate a common enemy—namely Marxist-Leninist communism—two popes essentially collaborated with Hitler, Mussolini, and the fascist dictators in Spain (Franco) and Croatia (Pavelić)...

-Trying to imprison your political rival(s) on highly exaggerated charges
-Giving vast sums of money to the private sector so they'll manufacture what you dictate
-Trying to make more of the populace dependent on and loyal to the state
-Throwing around insane amounts of money into a half-assed war, for long standing personal grievances
-Using executive powers to give money to favored ethnic or racial groups
-Bribing other countries with aid if they'll do something that favors your family
-Having almost no media cover your brazen crimes
Thing is, Biden's too demented to be a fascist. Dude's brain is clots and empty spaces. But the Deep State in the US, who are controlling him like a marionette doll certainly are doing things you expect in a fascist society, with a complicit corporate media who are slavish to their advertisers.
A fair example would actually be modern China. "Communists" don't do capitalism. Fascists do state-run capitalism, where private property can exist, but where the government still is the one managing the economy.

Do you agree?
Do you agree?
That out of the way, he stated something that struck a chord with me; "Regulations are socialism disguised as capitalism".
Traditional conservativism would consist of getting rid of 3 old policies that weren't effective, and trying 1 new policy. It was pretty standard to do massive deregulation once a conservative is elected, before they implemented any regulations at all. Truthfully, the only president to really do that in many decades was Trump.
The other issue, and we have the receipts to prove this, is that the congress has a tremendous power in policy and a dem congress can push through a lot of regulations. Even with a conservative president, the deficit and regulations tend to sky rocket under a dem congress.
Back to the point though, recent "conservative" presidents have been socialist. In fact, Mises called our politicians socialists back in the 80s and was outraged by their comments.
Mises convinced me we haven't been a capitalist country since the 50s or even before. We have far too much interference to even come close.

It sucks but Presidents no matter the party want to take the easy route, which usually means pleasing the most people most of the time over what's good for the long-term. Just to show how off people can be I remember hit pieces accusing Ron Paul of being fascist. "The free market is fascist" and "free market means giant corporations take over everything" trash rhetoric. Typing said comments from their Iphones, while drinking at Starbucks.
