Maybe long term plan, but I ain't strappin a turbskie on there yet.

Went and looked at it Saturday. Car is MINT and the guy is a 64 year old retired Air Force guy (the town I live basically only exists because of the huge base here).....He had a 2004 Mach 1, a 2018 GT, and few other project cars he was working on. Said the wife told him he had to get rid of some, told me the Mach was for sale too. He also had an early 90's Volvo that was completely redone to damn near show room quality for sale.....said this town just has no market for the Volvo though.

As soon as he opened the hood said "this car was built by Car Craft Magazine in 2019" (which I had already discovered) and I bought it from the builder about a year ago. Had all the documents and build pics and chit.

Once he started it, I knew I was going to buy it. Went for a drive, agreed on a price.....pulling the money out today and if/when this rain stops, going to pick it up.

I wouldn't be me if I didnt. lol

"Overpaid" is a relative term I suppose as everyone assesses value differently. I don't feel like I overpaid as this car checks every box, holds a chit ton of nostalgic value for me and provides exactly what I've wanted for over a decade. I've accepted the fact that I will most likely be doing a transmission swap in the relatively near future and that's just part of it.

Did some research and quick math this weekend and the total of just the parts alone on the car is about $30k, not including the car itself or the labor & time aspect.

Dude is throwing in a high quality cover & set of new Baer brake pads........for $15,500
