Eh price is too high, t45 sucks
I don't see any ac lines hooked up or listed
Gen 2 is the good yote motor though. If it was Gen 2 and a semi built 6r80e with ac then the price would be ok

Cash on hand and I'm tired of saving $2k/month and just looking at it sitting in my savings/CD's/Investments. I've been wanting to do this and just "waiting for the right time" to buy a fun weekend car for the last 12-15 years and just keep talking myself out of it.

My thoughts as well. Unless it's a beefed up T45 that TQ is eventually going to get it.

In his post he says NO AC....fine with me as it's going to sit in the garage most of the time.

Going to look at it this afternoon.....probably going to throw $14,500 at him if it all checks out.

Even if you don't like ac it cucks the value for his price and resale. In AZ that car would never sell without it. If you don't care about racing and just want to bang gears it will prob be semi fun but still wouldn't pay 14k. Used prices and modded yote prices are getting slaughtered in this economy so I would keep camping

Don't do it man. You live in GA and that thing isn't even a vert. AC would be a massive pain in the ass to get done and you're gonna need it. No one goes cruisin in the winter.

I'm a new edge mustang lover myself and had a triple black GT vert. For not that much more money you could get a 03 or 04 terminator cobra and those things are insanely badass, faster than a stock coyote and very easily moddable

Edit: Just saw the article on it. Looks really clean. I was expecting it to be completely clapped out like the swaps I usually see. Might be worth it if you don't mind sweating your balls off

Looks cool but also looks like he did all the work himself.

That means it when it does run it will be fun. Also means that 90% of the time it wont run and you will be underneath it just like in those pics working on it and wondering what in the hell the guy was thinking.

See Post #16.....It's a MotorTrend build car. there's 2 articles on it. I found the article while researching the T45/Coyote combo. Build was done in South Carolina mid 2019

If it has all the hvac stuff still under the dash adding ac isn't that big of a deal. Compressor and have lines made and you're 90% there. But still 12k IMO

I had a '76 Mercury Capri (Mustang adjacent).

I loved it. It was one of my favorite cars.

Do it, OP.

Why wouldn't you just buy a late model GT for 20k?

That thing has a dated interior and out of style unpopular chassis with 20+ years of grease and rusted bolts holding it together.

No thanks Jeffrey.

That sh*t is gonna fall apart way before 10 or 12 years, and is going to be a time and energy suck while you have it.

If it were me I'd spend the money on hookers and blow instead so at least you'll feel like you got something out of it.

And this is coming from someone who bought a race motor before.

Im sure the wife and daughter will love that option. lol

I've had several cars over the last few years....bought cheap with the intention of modding and when reality sets in, I just dont have the time, so I sold them.

My dream build would be a Coyote (or LS) swapped new edge, full suspension....blah blah....basically this car. The works already done. It's going to sit in the garage will Saturday/Sunday when I feel like going for a drive.

If it's not ragged out (which it might be) I don't see what the issue is. All of the work was done in 2019, so it's not that old. I have no problem with maintenance and replacing things like clutch/brakes/etc that are normal wear items that would need to be done on a 2015 Mustang anyway.

Also....not a race motor. It's a Ford Crate motor dyno tuned with bold-ons. These things hands 15lbs of boost on stock internals with no problem.

I want older/raw feel.

Don't care about tech/comforts.....this will be strictly a drive on the weekend fun haver. Will probably gut & try to sell the interior anyway.

It looks like it has a crate motor and a crate ecu swap, there is nothing to not run properly. Gen2 yote motors have the best block of the bunch. Install oil pump gears and a blower with a crank support and make 750+whp for years with zero worries on
