I would tell him to surround himself with people who are smarter, better, and more successful than him.

If he lacks family he will need the next best thing: friends of the aforementioned type and not druggie friends.

If he lacks a religious conviction, he might have to fake it to make it because attending a church is one of the easier ways to make positive social connections with potentially smart and successful people.

He will glean from his new friends pathways to making a new successful life and formulate a plan to better himself. He will possibly be offered a job through these connections.

If he doesn't desire a change then there might not be much you can do to convince him.

I would say if there's a book youre looking for, 12 rules of Life by Jordan Peterson may be helpful. It's not for everyone but has some good life advice and its not a long read.

Imagine being a 30 year old, bald, out of shape man living in your parents basement, and the government tells you: Get in shape, go to school, get a job, work 8-12 hours a day, pick up a side hustle.

And after you have done all that you can now: Rent a Pajeet's basement because wages are terrible and rent is through the roof, still bald, now 35 years old, still socially autistic, still not in the top 80% aka invisible.

This is why they're importing 1,000,000 people/year because they know they're the only ones willing to put up with the above^ at least for a decade before they realize.

And they can't tell everyone to just become a CEO and top tier investor because then no one will do the necessary labor.
