You could live better making $40k in a small town in the south than $86k in NYC. Aren't all non ghetto apts like $5k a month in NYC?

Train drivers stay in drivers cab and generally don’t have to interact with passengers, just the signaller/control.

My job is similar to a conductor except I don’t work onboard the train, instead pretty much based at the station.

So you’d take home around £5.5k-6k a month.

I suppose it ain’t mega baller wage but you’d still be well off and could live pretty comfortably.
we are talking London

banks offer a singleton 3x their salary for a mortgage unless things have changed.. London prices are like £400k for a 2 bed flat. or £350k for a 1 bed. so the salary alone cannot even get a mortgage unless you have a big deposit of like £50k. and then legal fees and stamp duty

unless you do the first time buyers government loan or shared ownership where you get bent over

paying the mortgage isn't the problem because you can always rent a room to help, it's getting the property in the first place that is hard for most

You have disposable income because you live rent free with your parents loser. I had disposable income at 16 when I lived with my parents too

I wouldn't really say that. Any leftover cash he immediately throws to based hookers and then comes on here and makes threads about it like it's an accomplishment that we should be jealous about. Paying for pussy isn't anything to brag about. Going out and picking up chicks and having them fuk you because you're good looking and attractive or a smooth talker is something to be proud about.

Because you live with your mother and have no bills, try being on your own and you'll realize you do not make decent money.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

Besides I plan to progress to train driver eventually, so in a few years will be on a mogger salary while only working 35 hours a week.
If you like your job and have a career path in place, no shame at all in that.
