Fear was the driver. The primary emotion. Fear can be defined as the 'absence of control'.

It's fear. Anger is derived from the fear that this person is against my ideals and morals. That his person exists that threatens me, thus the response is anger. The threat doesn't have to be physical. It can be emotional, moral, security, mentally, etc.

Fear makes us do several things, lash out (anger), freeze, or flee.

Courage is doing the correct thing regardless of fear. We don't lash out in anger, instead we can protect what needs to be protected. If someone cuts me off, I don't get angry and ram my vehicle into his. That would be the root of fear. "He mogged me, so I fear my manlyhood so I have to assert my dominance."

Sometime is takes more courage to forgive. Fear is put away.

If my loved ones are in danger, I will risk my life for them. It's not derived from fearing for my loved ones or children, it's that I have the courage to stand in front of the danger. Fear is put away. I'm able to act in a manner that is calculated, not out of anger, but out of love, sacrifice, and protection.

Grief, Shame, and Regret are the most painful emotions, but not the worst. We all experience grief, pain, and regret, but those are experiences that teach us. They are valuable to know love, sacrifice, and courage.
I'm not blessed with riches, but I am rich with blessings.
Thank you, LORD, my God.

What you do with an emotion is much more important than the emotion.
