Everyone is different but I would say I peaked around 35-37. I have good genetics and worked out stayed active the majority of my life however. I definitely look way better than most of my peers.

It makes me wonder how I keep from goin' under…~ (Melvin Glover, better known by his stage name Melle Mel and Grandmaster Melle Mel, is an American hip hop recording artist who was the lead vocalist and songwriter of Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five.)

Depends on a lot of things.
There comes a point where you realize heavy lifting is pointless unless done for a sport.
Having maximum muscle mass possible is actually a hindrance

Avi is a pic of me on my 40th birthday. 45 now look roughly the same but a bit smaller. I think the key (at least for me) is to understand when you can't build muscle like you used to and lower your fat accordingly as well.
As far as other declining goes, I've had some sort of aches and pains probably from 32 on, but all are still manageable and only slight annoyances.

If you really look after yourself like Ronaldo, you can be in your physical prime even at 35. I reckon from 40 onwards you will start to decline at a noticeable rate no matter what you do.
There is but one path....we kill them all.

I'm thinking 40 is when the decline really starts. My strength is still going up at 32, still in pretty good shape although I can tell I hold onto fat a little easier now. I can't really say personally because I partied like a rockstar from 27-30 which should have been peak years.

Felt like I didn’t age a day from 20 - 30, then from 30 onwards it felt like I got a little bit older with every passing year.

-LeBron (37)
-Messi (35)
-Ronaldo (37)
-Vince Carter was 41 when he retired
Of course these men are people who have been blessed and are not what is representative of the average man . But still even if you put in 5% effort as much as these dudes , I bet you can be in top shape over most of the men in the age group 18-50 .
Also :
Eliud Kipchoge (38)
Is a long distance runner , he is regarded as the top 10 best ever and the current best
Also my standard for fitness is nothing less than the Ranger Regiment and this guy made there at 41 :

Crazy
This is just talking about Physical prime , I haven't mentioned some people go back to school to switch careers and learn an entirely new profession !
I have hope now

If you take into consideration an athlete who gets paid millions, they do everything to maxize longevity so that they can accumulate millions until the end of their career; while an average Joe exercises for other reasons and is less inclined to buy things like a hyperbaric chamber.
What you put into it is what you get out of it.
And let's not sleep on an optimal diet since we have learned that many diseases and problems are a function of a chit diet and nutrition program.

Agreed^^ fitness and health isn't to get girls, it is a lifestyle to excel at life and be golden in all years....whenever that is.

IDK I'm 31 and I feel I'm better than I ever have been. From 26-29 I was living pretty degen, got kinda fat. If I had been fitnessmaxxing since child I may have noticed a bit of a decline, but compared to when I was 20 I can run faster, lift more, have lower BF%.

I'm guessing it's safe to say tours over by mid-30s
The athletic NBA players tend to fall off starting early 30s

When I hit 30, I had insane backpain the first day from sleeping wrong. Woke up on my birthday a cripple who couldn't turn my head left or right without excruciating pain.
The key is to keep lifting, keep eating good, keep up the cardio. You gotta try and keep your test levels up naturally or you'll degrade faster.

25 is when I started noticing a significant mental decline. My fluid intelligence, creativity, wittiness, mood and so on began to dip. They say 25 is when your prefrontal cortex fully develops. Coincidence or not?
But physically I am getting stronger every year. Consistently pushing more weight at the gym. That’s old man strength I guess. Endurance is stagnant though. Not noticing any increased injury risk yet.

Honestly, still holding off the decline. Taking my bike off sweet jumps.
Look at my hero, natty Dwyane Johnson, 50-something and still killing it in the gym.

Depends what you mean by decline. Peak athletic ability is probably 25-30.
Physique wise, natties will probably top out around late 30s. 36 was probably it for me, was lifting the heaviest, was my leanest and looked the best. Still keeping up but it hurts and recoveries are much longer. Also harder to remain lean.
