I wouldn't go that far. Plenty of good watches under 20k lol.

I'll agree to disagree on this one, but if you're looking at 20k plus, you're in AP, VC, PP, and AL&S territory (as well as grey market Rolex), so if that's your thing, I get it.

I actually understand the point. its either an expensive AF watch that you can buy without thinking about price, or just be a normal human and buy a 100-300 dollar casio or something.

a 3k tag....it basically screams ("I wanted to buy a nice watch, but I can only afford 3k"). Now Im sure there are some rich af people wearing tags, but in YOUR scenario it is embarrassing. better off just wearing an apple watch or casio

there some decent watches under 20k though. but I get the point

Hard for me to tell if I like it. Can we get one where your flexing with it in a mirror shot with your arm cocked at a 90° angle?

Just received Seiko chrono over the weekend. Also have a diver mod I got a few months ago. Seiko is a brand of the people and they make quality watches. Without a doubt I’ll wind up with at least two more in my collection at some point, Skx, Alpinist, or panda chrono.

Your clasp is offset. Net time take 2 links from each side so that the clasp rests on the bottom of your wrist.

Watch is meh. Better Seiko options.

For the love of God, cover that tattoo man.
"The flowers bloom, then wither... The stars shine and one day become extinct. This earth, the sun, the galaxies and even the big universe, someday will be destroyed. Compared with that, the human life is only a blink, just a little time. In that short time - people are born, laugh, cry, fight, are injured, feel joy, sadness, hate someone, love someone. All in just a moment. And then, are embraced by the eternal sleep called death."

Seiko makes a ton of great watches yet somehow you manage to find the most boring of them all. Pretty impressive tbh

not to sh*t on you bruh

but why waste 200 on a piece of ********* when you have a number of other watches that all serve the same purpose

on top of that - this is 200 you could have added to a deposit for a house or stuck in an investment fund to leave and grow (of course you would need more than just that overtime)

the mindset of a consumer/teenager living with their parents with no urgency for life to change - and this isn't about still being able to save more bla bla

To be fair, it's not a huge amount of money. It's the only mechanical watch he owns, and that 200 is about what I spent on my first non-quartz watch. That said, the dude does have some financial issues that should take precedence over anything else, namely, getting his own place (unless he has circumstances that require him to be home).

yeah. i guess he isn't in a hurry to start really having his own independence. having your own place when you are young is pretty amazing. sad he has missed out on that opportunity. not long until he is 40

Plus have a 966 credit score with no debt.

Also here’s the state of my last Michael Kors watch (srs) it broke a while ago but then got completely wrecked in Benidorm so deffo needed a new one:

Buying a watch under 20k just makes you look like a consumer pleb

Doing it for “fashion”

Pathetic

If you need to see the time just use your phone

Smart watches at least have some utility

In all fairness I only wear watches as a fashion accessory lol.

Whenever I check the time I look at my phone 95% of the time.
Finally got a new watch for the first time in 3 years, Seiko Automatic green dial although looks black depending on lighting. Cost me £200/$250.

Will I look like a mogger now while posing?

It looks good but I wonder if you know that people mod and build custom seikos. You can make almost any mechanical seiko or style you want so long as its not a Chronograph. The chronos are solar/quartz

Buying a watch $20k+ is also retarded unless you have an interest in watches.

It’s a status thing, like most over-expensive things.

Depending on your finances, it can surely be retarded, but not always.

20k dollar watch may be cool as an investment piece, but I don't think every one retains value. There are 20k dollar rolexes that go down. There are lesser watches that go up too. Like a former popular piece that stopped production

If you're talking extreme exclusivity then what you say may hold true, but you're prob talking more than 20k and more into the 150k to a million plus range

But the thing is 20k dollar watch, you're probably not gonna want to wear it

You're gonna fuken scratch it moving around or accidentally bang it on a corner.. then you're gonna be pissed

A 20k dollar watch if it holds its value prob won't be worn

Yes it’s for status, in the vast majority of situations I consider doing things for vapid/materialistic status to be retarded.

Don’t want to derail this thread too much, but a brief consideration of the type of folks you’d be “impressing”, should reveal why it’s a worthless pursuit.
