Honestly in my case it was purely by accident.

I am literally related to 60%+ of the population of my small town. Population ~500. My great x2 grandpa had something like 8 daughters and married them all to dudes in the town back in like 1830 lol. So I’m literally related to everyone.

Met my girlfriend at the local bar. She was from 30+ miles away and just moved to town. Her last name wasn’t anybody I was familiar with so I though I was clear. Started smashing them sugar walls and dating her. 6 months down the line I was at my cousins garage bar and he had our family genealogy book (800+ pages) and sure enough she was in there.

We were both alittle shocked, but we both were like **** it we already banged so who gaf.

She’s my 3rd cousin once removed

Such is the life of a small townacel

would not live in a big city...hate traffic and aggressive drivers with every fiber of my being. more surrounded by consumerism in the city too. more weirdos. not as many down to earth baptist people either.
