They are happy in the sense that "ignorance is bliss" not because of some life or career achievment.

But also, you can live in a rural area and not be a "redneck" redneck is a trashy often degenerate caricature of someone that lives in a small town.

Also 95% of the OPs list can be enjoyed thoroughly in a city (especially here in California where we have the best of both worlds).

In some countries you would be astonished in how big some families are. I knew a guy from Ivory Coast, and he said on his mom's side she had 5 brothers, and 5 sisters now imagine all the offspring. He has like 30+ cousins it's crazy said one of his cousins ended up hooking up with their cousin they were like 5 years apart he was 25 and she was 20. They had never met before, but met at a bar lol was pretty lulzy. He said when they found out they were cousins just decided not to tell anyone about it.
