That was on the TV broadcast. The broadcast never showed the angle that explicitly shows the injury, but you can hear him moaning in shock and clutching the knee sitting on the ground afterwards.

Yes, he dislocated his knee and tore the MCL, PCL, and LCL (basically all of the ligaments except the ACL). Same knee.

He was 19 when that happened and recovered, but now at 27 I don’t think he’ll be able to come back from this one. I hope I’m wrong though.

Im surprised he lasted this long and surprised he was able to even make it to the NFL he injured himself badly when he played calling in Georgia on the same leg

Correct. This looks very similar to what happened to Teddy Bridgewater during a Vikings practice before the season in 2016. Complete dislocation and all ligaments snapped. The Vikings trainer was smart enough to immediately put the leg in an air cast right there on the field. They said it saved his leg. He never regained his old mobility, but at least went on to play again.

Yes a cut "block" is illegal if the lineman is already engaged with another blocker. For some reason, launching yourself at a ball carrier's knees when they're engaged with a defender isn't.

I don't think Minkah is a dirty player, but this was a dirty hit.

Like another poster said, DBs are taught to tackle low. I don’t think it was a dirty hit. It’s easy to say he should’ve tackled higher, but it’s hard to make that judgement in a millisecond in real time in a game.

he got injured the exact same leg he injured in college and the same time of injury

I just read it was multiple torn ligaments, its looking like a career ender he will be out for the entire season, this type of injury will take a long rehab close to a year or more.
