The valedictorian is probably a doctor or something by now. Fat ****** in high school and college (we went to undergrad at the same school), so I assume he is an even fatter ****** with a ****** wife and ****** kids.
Did a quick Google search, found him in 5 seconds:https://www.nytimes.com/2012/10/21/f...-weddings.html
The smartest kid in high school was of course me because I'm posting on the misc.

He got one wrong on the SAT and knew it when we were done with the test. Went to Harvard and got a degree in philosophy.
He is now the Chief Technology Strategist for a company that consults on political campaigns

I went to a selective high school so the smartest person was naturally going to be a wunderkind. It wasn't me.
Last I heard of him he was working as a missionary and doing bible work, no idea if he ever completed a degree or anything. Good for him if that's his calling, but I'm doing better than him since I'm dat here PhD time and I don't think many people from my grade went that far with their education, but there are a few PhDs ahead of me and one I just found out about a few weeks ago.
Very difficult grade to compete with, mostly doctors and lawyers and one girl is even on some sort of doctors association board or something. Very few failed at life and became dropkicks but there were a few.

Valedictorian from my class is a PA I think. She was nice, and very book smart.
The top ten (including myself) is a mixed bag. ~Half of them never left the town and are basically LDARing. The other ~half (including myself) are in a combination of IT stuff, finance stuff, and healthcare stuff as far as I can tell. I was 'friends' with the majority of the top ten - all kind of nerdy (again, including myself). So I sorta kept up a little bit with them after graduation through the college years. By the time I finished my degree though the ones that stayed back and LDARed had fallen out of touch, and shortly after the rest of us were graduating/reaching graduate school timeframe also fell mostly out of touch.

one of the smartest guys i know went computer science route and actually became a video game programmer at one of the big developers, he probably made bank but i know he was virgin for a long time and maybe still is.
he was a cool guy but i seen hes been brainwashed by living around all those marxist cucks and hes a white guy see him donating to naacp and making sure everyone sees it on his ******** so hes more interested in the social approval from doing so than the attention. the funny thing is that in highschool he never talked to any of the black kids and there were tons of them but now he cares about their alleged plights, sure dude.

We had this ****** named Achok that I knew in elementary school who was the type that would drive you crazy. Never did homework and always had straight Aโs .
Tell you the truth he was the only ****** we had in a school of over a thousand people. How things have changed since the 60โs.
He went from high school straight to university, then moved back to India.
Anyways heโs now the minister of agriculture in India . Has written several books etc . I think he did pretty well for himself .
We also had a guy who could draw unbelievable pictures, pretty much a savant . I have no idea where he ended up though .
I remember he drew a pic of a nerdy kid playing a pinball machine on construction paper , and also a guy on a dirt bike doing a wheely .
People in junior high were paying him $50 a drawing . A lot of money back then

I went to a STEM magnet program for high school. It was sort of an autistic intellectual Fight Club. Student body was about 2 dozen, 100% male by senior year, majority Indian, and I don't think any of us scored under a 1400 SAT. About half the class would win National Merit Finalist every year.
There was one ****** guy in my grade who was just a gear smarter than everyone else there. He was taking 6 AP classes a day like everyone else, but he was 2 grade levels ahead and doing it. Bruh was powering through a college freshman level calculus course as a 14yo high school freshman, and understanding it better than all of us.
Dude was always shockingly mature for his age too, and we'd give him chit for his 40 year old dad vibes. I thought if a dude was wired for success, it'd be him.
He graduated high school two years early, won NMF (which shooting par for the course in that program), earned an academic full ride to college (par for the course), and majored in CS.
That guy always wanted to work in video games when he got older (despite never being much of a gamer? he was always more of a hentai porn kind of guy). But after he crushed his CS curriculum with a high 3s GPA, he couldn't find a job at any of the big companies. Activision, EA, all those guys rejected him.
My brother actually roomed with him at this time, he was doing grad school at the same time this guy was wrapping up his senior year of undergrad. He said that homeboy was just depressed and jaded with life, and always bitching about how many mistakes he had made. He had a fat Chinese girlfriend, and he'd nail her in the shower with the water running for 45 mins every other day. That was kind of his main hobby in life.
Looking it up, he's a software engineer at a small firm in New York City now. Not doing bad professionally, but it feels like he's working at about 80% of his potential after hitting 100% of it in Fight Club.

50% of my class are currently IT engineers.
20% other degree
30% no degree at all
I have no information about anyone working at the supermarket.
The smartest is probably a programmer or something like that.
But HS is probably the worst years to know who is smart or not. A lot of really intelligent people sucked in HS. I would actually argue the best IQ predictor is your school performance TILL High School.

Most super intelligent people develop a hate towards school once they start developing their critical thinking (which usually happens in HS years). This means a lot of them really start hating it.
In my case (not saying that I am a genius, just giving an example), I was the best student in my entire school from the 1st to the 9th grade (won multiple national awards and ****). However, I was always a "lazy" student (the only thing allowing me to get great grades was the fact I payed attention in the class. I didn't spend a single hour studing until I reached HS). Then I went to HS, "critical thinking" and puberty hit at the same time and my brain started to pay attention to everything but the classes. I certaily didn't feel the necessity to start studing (cuz I never had to... so, why would I start now?) until the situation got ugly. My grades dropped to the point I almost had to repeat my junior year. Then I recovered (because I started studing before the tests/exams) but I was never the same student (while I was in HS).
I think this is not rare. But at least it teached me that effort will always beat talent.
