I would not underestimate Hezbollah. They have the full-fledged support of a Nation-state (Iran) and access to weapons, resources, intelligence, training, etc that Hamas doesn't have. Hezbollah also has widespread reach all around the world with sympathizers and supporters. If Israel or US (or both) go after Hezbollah in earnest, they will have to take on Iran as well (since Iranian military personnel are mixed in with Hezbollah).

I feel this time could be different. Iran has learned a lot from the Russia-Ukrainian conflict and the US leadership is very weak (or at least perceived as weak). With the Muslim world's sympathies and support behind them, Iran (i.e. Hezbollah) has more of an incentive to take aggressive actions against Israel.
