Yeah, cos that's exactly what i said, you fukin pleb

OP is arguing this is 'peak performance', im pointing out that it's not, and im pointing out many people aspire to more than these mediocre lifts, and if you're gonna put work into lifting, then in my opinion you should (just like, y'know, OP is giving his opinion making this thread). Attaining more than a 315x3 squat for example, isn't exactly taxing nor does it require a ridiculous amount of maintenance, so if you're gonna put the hours in why not aspire to more, instead of putting in the effort to live only to have twink legs? The implication you have to sacrifice 'test levels' or 'athletic ability' to attain more than OPs lifts is absurd/cope for having chit lifts, and actually being strongis a part of athletic ability. I never outlined any requirements for a 'real man', nor mentioned the term 'real man' that is something completely different to the topic at hand. Being strong brings benefits to everyday life as well, not merely your appearance.

There is a difference between being strong, and waddling up to a monolift so you can squat 1000lbs in a squat suit. Most people can be pretty strong, without 'sacrificing test levels or athletic ability'

Perhaps you should put on your spectacles and read what i say, not what you fantasise, or think i said.

write me more novels. in other words he shouldn't be happy and a "real man" needs to lift more.

and what are these benefits you speak of? perhaps he just doesn't want to get autistic with lifting?

What is peak performance then? Natty.
And you absolutely have to lose size to have better cardio, speed & athlethic ability.
We hall have our own homeostasis, and it aint a bloated fuk benching 3 plates

If you're going to categorise 6 lines as a 'novel', and constantly strawman me, i'm not going to bother conversing with you anymore because you're clearly an absolute moron debating in bad faith.

Well firstly, peak performance is a matter of opinion, but yeah of course, i'm not even talking about gear - do you think you need gear to attain more than 315 for a triple on a squat? What exactly is your performance peak at, by maintaining this state?

Being strong is a part of athletic ability, so why do you think that having more than a 315x3 squat, means you're going to 'drop test levels and lower athletic performance'? I'd argue the opposite.. the problem is you're equating being strong with being a heavy bloatlord, or being loaded with gear, which simply doesn't have to be the case. Do NFL guys not have very good athletic ability, whilst being strong? There's obviously a limit to how strong you can get, without giving up athletic ability, but i'd argue it's far north of a 315x3 squat.

Again like i said, do you, but you're the one making a thread to push this opinion on people, and i'm giving a counter opinion. If you're going to show up in the gym and lift anyway, there's no reason to sit at a 315x3 squat, or 155x3 OHP for life, higher lifts are very easily attainable, natty, without being autistic about lifting. Also, you don't need to be hugely big to lift more than the lifts you're quoting, or even be much heavier. I had a 485 squat at 92kg at 6'4, and all i did was showed up, and did my squats; hardly a bloatlord. Also, again strength is a part of athletic ability, so why are you completely decoupling the two?

I think you have a slightly weird view on lifting, if you think you need to be a bloated **** to bench 3 plates or squat more than 3 plates. There are twinks and 150lb females out there with these lifts, so clearly being a 300lb bloatlord is not a requirement.

If you're happy with where you're at, and you really want to keep it, do you; but i think some of your arguments lack perspective. You can be lean, athletic, fit, and not be autistic about lifting, and still have a 3 plate bench, 4 plate squat, and 5 plate dead if you're simply consistently lifting for a number of years. (or at least, i think this is attainable for a large portion of men)

Thats where i found myself sitting at. If i do alot of cardio & boxing, and moderate weight training. More explosive stuff.
I definetly have more snap & chit functional strength the weight on the bar really doesnt mean anything.
If you go above 190ish ohp, bout 300 bench. As a natty. Youre definetly more geared towards non athlethic training & have hindered abilities in thar regard. You cant keep the shape up w the strength. Try it out.
maybe with godspeed genetics. Or droogs
Imo powerlifting style strength doesnt have chit to do with athlethic ability. It helps very little, conor mcgregor is way mroe likely to punch harder than bradley martin

For every guy you quote though, i can quote someone else.

Jon jones has a 315+ bench, a 500 squat, and a 600 deadlift, is he not athletic? Many MMA fighters are pretty fkin strong (especially considering it's not their focus), and maintain their athleticism.

And i think you're moving the lines as the debate moves on though, because in the OP you specifically quoted 155 x 3 OHP, and 315 x 3 squat - i'm especially focused on the 315 x 3 squat here - do you really think this is all that is attainable without hindering athletic ability, or cardio, or test levels? I think this is cope.

Anyway, we're going round in circles now, you're entitled to your opinion, but i think your perspective is flawed, and whilst i think there is a limit to how strong one can get without hindering other aspects of his athletic ability and cardio, i think the lifts at which that happens is significantly higher than the lifts you have, or where you think that happens. Clearly you disagree, it is what it is.

how many natty triathlon type dudes do you see looking like bloatlords that bench 500lbs? obviously when it comes to fitness there's a lot of moving parts. lifting numbers are easy to quantify though so a lot of dudes just autisically focus on those numbers as a sign of health.

The squat is whatever dude. But yeah i guess you could cap out at 405 atg for reps, something around there. But for jon jones, mans juiced to the gills. That just proves my point his numbers are slightly above, hes athlethic as fuk, but also on a ton of gear.
Take out the gear you find yourself near that ballpark i gave in the op, slightly higher easily ofc. But not by a landslide damnit

Im not like that much off the peak you can have natty, without sacrificing athlethics. We talking a small amount, 10ish lbs lbm.

jon jones is like a top 0.1% athlete too...has cycled...probably walks around at 250+ lbs...trains for a living...with brothers in the NFL.

We all have our own opinions, and if you're happy do you, but describing this as 'peak performance' is very, very misleading.
Hey, 155lbs OHP is hard as fuk. Ask me how I know.

I strength trained and hyper trophy trained for 13 years naturally. Bloating, cutting, bloating, cutting etc

Hit 4 plate squat till my knees gave out. Haven’t squatted more than 365 in years.

Benched 275 till shoulders gave out. Now can only do 225

Deadlift too risky but hit 420 with Drew

Lifting as heavy as you can possibly lift is probably not worth it tbh. Unless you’re actually a powerlifter.

Think about strength training naturally on a caloric deficit. Fuark, lifts in the trash boio. But you can still look damn good with a high intensity pump routine

Good to be well rounded. At the end of the day, only thing that matters is you lift.

Even if you go way less though, you can still build a bit with fewer lifting days.

Agreed. Look at ronnie coleman where he got himself, you need some resistance training. But lifting for numbers aint it
