There's definitely a balance between waiting and wanting to ensure they're in each others lives, I don't recall ever meeting my dad's dad

Even a top 10% woman gets the world served in a plate, you can be perfect for her and she will still feel like she can do better, which is why i believe there are going to be TONS of super beautiful 30 and 40 y/o single woman in the near future, the ones that wasted their 'young and beautiful' card.

Either way, i know im not perfect, im messed up a bit, and i overthink too much.
You need to realize that everyone, man or woman, is phucked up in a so many ways. All these people we see on social media and aspire to be are all phucked up no matter what they've achieved, how good they look, or any other filtering criteria you use. Justin Bieber at his peak could probably have a 20-some at the most exclusive party with the most elite women in the world if he wanted, but has been in rehab god knows how many times. Even that top 0.000000001% woman on paper will have SOME issues if you manage to bag her.

Part of life is understanding that nobody is perfect and accepting their flaws with the hope that they'll accept yours too. I agree that the culture of today's world is beyond messed up and it gives me reservations about having children. That said, you can't pre-plan everything in your life and nothing will ever be as good as it seems. Even if it is, the "shine" of being with your perfect someone will inevitably wear off and the day to day drudgery of household chores, work stress, social drama, etc. will settle in.

Idk what to tell you man except I think you're chasing a unicorn and are potentially going to make yourself miserable. That's why I think the dating app analogy with women is extremely apt here. It's up to you to decide what really matters to you and if you want to take the leap of faith with someone who ends up not meeting your lofty standards.

Just say you don't want to get married instead of making this whole scene about women are sloots and not wife material. I bet there's a hot woman youre attracted to out there but you'll find something about her that would make you not want to marry her.

Thats more like an 8.

Anyways, people are largely unmarried today because they aren't selecting based on values and compatibility but moreso on superficial things like looks/money/status. That's an endless pit of never ending hypergamy.

Yeah, i dont want to get married. I think its an outdated concept, and i dont think its natural for two people to belong to each other and nobody else for the rest of their lives. Even if i was willing to make that commitment, i wouldnt do it for anyone that isnt worth it and very few women today would be worth that.

The thread isnt about that btw. I assume many people are in my shoes as the childbirth rates have severely dropped in the last decade. In my case is even worse because im the younger of 3 kids, and the other 2 simply wont have children so i do feel a bit nostalgic about my parents who obviously want grandkids not having that experience.

Marriage isn't an outdated concept. People have become more narcissistic. Also, having children in a non-traditional relationship does not work. Also I believe monogamy is only for woman. Men shouldn't be monogamous if they dont want to.

A man is only truly immortal through his genes being passed on.

At the age your father is at, there's no other burning desire or passion other than the desire and knowledge to know that, if he passes today, he will still live on in his grandkid(s).

Every man, deep down inside, wishes to have a boy. And this boy owes it to his father to give him grandkids before he passes. Assure, put his worries to rest, by making sure that his gene will be alive and well in his descendants.

Don't be selfish. Know that you will also be in this exact same position one day, and you will have this exact same urge to see yourself "live on". You don't wish to be deprived of this by your future son, so don't deprive your father of this during the last days of his life.

Death is only truly terrifying if it's a definitive end. End to your gene. End of your line. End of your family name. Men can only be at peace with inevitable death if he knows that he lives on in some way, through his line. Any man with no son who tells you he doesn't fear death is a lying, coping, cuck.

This is me brah, but I believe wholeheartedly in marriage and monogamy (which you know and is one of the few things we disagree on haha).

The thing is though I completely understand what my view of those things are compared to the modern version of them...and it is completely different. Most people don't see marriage as the actual full commitment to another human, to actually fully love them, and to put your selfish worldly desires behind to pursue a family unit. It probably exists in 1% of marriages now. I even say that the only reason to get married in these modern times is for kids/family or if you are deeply religious and also pursuing kids/family. Otherwise there is zero reason to ever get married imo. Especially for the financial reasoning.

My parents are getting older, but are only 64 and 61....but still getting older. I have an older sister that's 35 and is not going to have kids. She ghosted the family two years ago, has been in a long term relationship with a rich guy who has a daughter from an out of wedlock relationship 12 years ago, and she's being like a fill in step mom for her. So that leaves just me to carry on the last name and to have grandchildren for my parents. I want kids and a bigger family. I always have. However, finding a female that wants those things but isn't a complete used whore, isn't a selfish modern woman, and truly wants to be a good mother/wife....it's seemingly impossible right now. Of course the other issue is basic attraction. I don't have standards thinking I need a 9/10, but I know what I can get and what I offer. So I need to at least find them attractive. I'll even take a 5/10 in shape if she wants a family and has a good heart....in a second.

Life is annoying right now in dating. Hopefully one day we end up finding a good girl lol.

Looks fade.

You donโ€™t even want to know what happens to a womanโ€™s body after childbirth. I looked like a deflated balloon with dark stretch marks which thankfully went away.

Most women can only get rid of that pouch with plastic surgery.

I think you are too focused on looks and not on character and looking for a multidimensional woman.

Not saying that's what happened but chasing pussy for so long you end up missing the bus for settling down when the parents are around. Settling early with someone you may not be right for and giving grandkids or not settling and missing out on that. Lose/lose.

I've never understood the whole mistress/side piece thing. Even if I was inclined, with the amount of time and effort a relationship takes, I don't have the mental/emotional resources or even just the patience to have two of them.
Screw nature; my body will do what I DAMN WELL tell it to do!

Any childless man I've met over the age of 25 is either mentally ill; a drug addict; or in the closet about being gay

You just need to figure out which one it is for you

Men are suckered into the illusion that having a mistress or side piece is all about them having control. It's anything but. They're simping to the max. Women play stupid and innocent to keep the gig up. It's not like what you see in movies. Unless your second chick is of equal standing, you'll have more to lose and lose hard every time. She's a woman, you're replaceable within the hour.

OP I like you and you post a lot of good stuff, you do post some things I can't get onboard with, but the thing I have noticed about you is you tend to think what's keeping you down is completely unchangeable. Constructive criticism time: a lot of that kind of crap is the same type of crap modern women peddle about themselves; the mentality that this is how I am, it is set in stone, I will not change for anything, and I just need to find that perfect jigsaw puzzle piece that will adhere to me. You might be able to find someone like that but it's very unlikely to happen (at least before it's too late) and at the end of the day giving up some of what is holding you down isn't going to be so detrimental to you or make you miserable. The idea that you can't go back to being with a woman who isn't drop dead gorgeous because you've already tasted the best fruit, is what modern women do as well with the top tier dudes they get pumped and dumped by. But you already knew that...

I would say figure out what your values are, which ones need to be dropped (or at least which ones should take precedence over the others) and just stick to your guns on it. If you're having pangs of being a parent, it's time to possibly make some sacrifices with yourself.

by the way I didn't read all the replies itt ... in case some of this was already covered.

Do you really think many women would go for that kind of situation?
