I drove 30 miles, waited for 45 minutes, and they told me they were going to reschedule my appointment.

I'd be shocked if they ever answer that question seriously. They'd usually just say everything things are fine, then if it wasn't when you got there, what are you gonna do about it? Leave early, potentially pay a missed apt fee, and go through the hassle of rescheduling and going?

But often there are complex social issues at hand and I try to be as helpful as I can be. I usually apologize to the patients that follow for being late and thank them for waiting for me. Most are understanding, occasionally someone throws a fit, and I remind them that I treat patients like I would want my family to be treated, that usually calms them down.

I waited 2 hours once for a cancer appt (all good now) and she was so disrespectful. I'm glad you put those fukks in their place

How many leave before you see them on a daily or weekly basis? I know I’m not the only one because I’ve seen others leave at the same time as me. Also, are you ever 2+ hours behind early in the morning?
In a case like that, I’m guessing she works under the umbrella of a larger company/hospital, I’d email the main company.
