My wife and I don't really do 'item gifts', we do 'experiences'.

So one time I surprised her with a week in Modena (and a bit in Bologna too). I snagged a reservation at Osteria Francescana, we went to Acetaio Giusti, did agricultural tours and such.

I used to do 'item gifts' years ago, but my wife taught me experience based gifting really. It's great.

Buying women expensive things is a complete waste of money.

What most guys dont understand is that women dont value the actual product. They value the experience of shopping, feeling special because of it.

They also like being able to rub other females noses in it.

Its like flowers, they are great but have almost zero impact if you give them to her at home. They will have fantastic value if she gets them at work in front of all the other women.

Any gift she gets that is decent and she can open it in front of other women will be way higher valued in her opinion than anything she gets in private.

No woman wants a gucci purse she buys online and gets delivered. That ruins all the fun of buying it in the fancy shop.

I don't like doing expensive gifts. A $500 gun for her B-Day one year is biggest single gift. However it should last a life-time and she didn't have a pistol so it was worth it. With that said she buys me **** all the time. She probably spends around $1500-2000 per year buying me **** at random times throughout the year. Srs.
