They never even try. Obama was president for eight years and not once did he do anything to legalize it.

I'm sorry, but they're a burden on society and it's a mercy to have them aborted. Especially those who are confined to a wheelchair, and wear a helmet.

Right, a drooling vegetable isn't a burden? Hell, that's why parents with money who have such a thing, either put them away in a hospital or hire caretakers.

All these anti abortion people are all talk and no play. You guys donating extra cash to cover the extra government subsidies? ZERO chance

Pro life but not pro living.

Why do you give a chit if some some random chick wants an abortion at 16 weeks or whatever (Yes we need terms) . Because your imaginary God says its bad, GTFO. You didn't do it so your Heaven should be fine.

Same with weed, if my neighbor wants to burn one down every night after work to decompress, go for it. It doesn't directly affect, I personally don't care.

Society is way too worried about what other people do and should focus on themselves. Thats a MAJOR problem with this country and the Misc is no different.

I'm sure there are some ******* parents out there that do, but I haven't met any. As for a burden? Nah, bro, they are a blessing.

same people that complain about crime being out of control, but it's known that most hardened criminals come from broken families where the father figuring is missing or a dead beat.

But hey every broke chick in whatever ghetto neighborhood that just got knocked up NEEDS to pump out kids according to these clowns.

The religious groups and conservatives that oppose legalized marijuana do so on the basis of its affects, not just because they don’t like it or disagree with its use. It’s difficult for some folks to understand certain principles and values, and that those values are based in truth. We already knew the affects of marijuana use, but even more so, we also knew what happens when drugs are legalized from a government perspective.

These values were already confirmed in studies done on states that legalized it.

1. DUIs went up
2. Cost of living went up and wages didn’t increase relative to those increases
3. Drug (weed)related violence increased
4. Taxes increased
5. The size and control of government went up dramatically, which was indicated by the types of politicians being elected to make legalization happen.
7. The cost of weed increased dramatically
8. Because it’s such a heavily regulated substance, monopolies formed very quickly, along with lobbying groups

So it’s not just about legalizing cannabis, it’s not as simple as that, it’s everything that comes with it, including government interference and a society that becomes dependent and easily controlled. If we were truly a free country, legalization wouldn’t have such ill affects. It wouldn;’t be as regulated, no lobbyists, no monopolies, lower prices, and people would be more responsible in their use. Think about it; with the welfare state, smoking weed a lot becomes more common, and it exacerbates laziness.

You can booze all you want but please don't smoke that joint. Idiocracy at its finest. Guess what, people are going to burn all the time no matter what the law says. Weed being illegal isn't stopping many people from using. Legalize it federally, tax the chit out of it. Use that money to give free lunch to every kid in school in this entire country. Take advantage of the stoners and make them pay for things that we should already have going on.

absolutely retarded female logic srs

anti abortion =/= "helping people after birth"
false equivalency attempt

anti abortion = anti murder outside the womb

anti abortion is about moral consistency

also

parents taking responsibility for children in the womb = parents taking responsibility for children outside the womb
again, moral consistency

do i care that liberals kill their children? not really, but its wrong and contributes to the decay of culture

Abortion - Ikind ofget where they're coming from. They think they are being moral to try passing extreme bans on abortion by "saving the lives of babies". However, that all falls apart when you consider how most Republicans are extremelyagainst helping people after birth."Pull yourself up by the bootstraps" if you've been born, but they'll completely destroy any possible momentum they could get by obsessing over abortion.

Weed - This issue is just laughable at this point. Blows my mind seeing red counties of states consistently energize liberal voters by banning weed in select counties in legal states. Republicans tend to way downplay the negative effects that carry on from those more localized issues into wider state/national politics. It's weed, if you still thinK THC is a big deal in 2023, you are incredibly naive and sheltered, no other way to put it.

Y’all can straw man my post all you want. It’s a 1 dimensional take on the bigger picture. In case some of you don’t know what a straw man is, it’s changing the argument, or picking ann easy, and/or small detail to attack instead of addressing the entire thing.

Why did violence related to marijuana go up? We were always told that it wouldn’t go up, because weed users aren’t violent, yet it did. You’re not making an argument, you’re just giving me an untenable objection, or talking point.

You’re arguing that the state taxes the chit out of weed, then you can feed the hungry kids. Cool story bro, but what’s the truth? If we consider Parkinson’s law, you’ll realize the truth here. Government, and bureaucrats, hire as many people as possible to make the work as easy and profitable as possible for themselves. Then calculate in how inefficient and terrible the government is at getting things done, then consider who they decide to feed, how they decide to feed them etc, then you will understand that it’s usually just a bad idea completely. This is even assuming it’s being used to feed children, which it likely isn’t.

Try giving people something, seeing that it’s harmful, then taking it away. What happens? Prohibition, riots etc. Even if this social experiment fails miserably, which it already is, especially in regards to government overreach and corruption, taking it back will be pretty much impossible.

And cost of living went up for everyone. So everyone paid for that one, even the non users. How nice. Sounds like less money to pay to feed children, not more.

I do, and I think you'd be surprised at how many actually do as well.

I make a monthly donation to a network of local pregnancy crisis centers who provide expecting mothers in need/new moms in need with pre and post natal care, shelter, food and clothing for their new babies, employment and educational opportunities, etc.

Most people who I speak to in our parish also make this donation either monthly or a least a couple times per year.

Nah brah unless you fully support all forms of welfare you are not supporting the kids...

It doesn't matter if you show non-profit donations by political class.

i will adress the violence aspect.
1. all violence went up in the country post covid
2. da's reduced penalties for some crimes
3. drug dealers, not customers, got more violent due to law changes.
4. i was never promised that violence wouldn't go up, nor was i promised that 20 teens would not steal from high end stores because all crime is unpredictable.
this is not Minority Report the movie, and there are no precogs telling police about pre crime.

"the state taxes the chit out of weed",
it was always a see as you go situation here, just as legalized gambling and now the first year of legalized gummies and medical card purchases exist.
they are testing the markets for tax revenue since people will drive to nearby states to get it anyway.

AH yes, the logic of the left; let’s just try it and see!! Surely it will work the third time! Fourth time! The FIRTH TIRMS! It’s always recycling bad ideas and pretending it’s NEW AND EXCITING! And surely because gambling “worked”(economically it doesn’t), Er’thing will work!

I guess the thinking might be that an unborn baby is totally innocent but once you get out the puss any situation you find yourself in is on you. I dunno, I find that a little inconsistent at times but sloots are outta control with the abortions and their ****ed up attitude to them.

Weed causes problems. If you think weed is harmless you probably pretty sheltered. But I agree it should be legal, guns cause problems but freedom means we have the right to own them and I think for similar freedom reasons we should be able to smoke any plant we want without getting molested by the government.

I get that the guns are there to defend the freedom and weed (and psychedelics) play a role in that too buy helping one see through a lot of the bullchit and that is reason it was banned. It's not for everyone and neither is taking up arms against the government apparently.

Violence went up with legalized weed for the same reason violence is up when other vices are looked at. People addicted to alcohol are going to rob people and fight with people and do dumb chit when they are fuct up.

Weed is no different but now you have an entirely new group of people acting like morons zonked out of their minds.

Same with gambling. The house always wins so some dumbass that lost his whole months rent at the casino is much more likely to go steal than he would have had gambling not been legal.

And when you get a lot more instances of nuisance and petty crime you are going to get more escalation and more serious crimes along with it.

But muh freedoms!

I am morally opposed to abortion, but don't believe you can legislate morality.

I wish the GOP would focus specifically on abortions after the first trimester and for cases of incest/rape/medical complications.

I don't give a single phuck about weed.

Both are absolute vote losers, but I think the GOP is fine with it cause they are feckless kents and prefer it that way.
Freedom of speech is a principle pillar of a free government; when this support is taken away, the constitution of a free society is dissolved and tyranny is erected on its ruins.
