The C7 is definitely the last true Corvette in a sense, with a front engine layout and stick shift transmission.
The most disappointing part is that they didnt offer the C8Z in a manual. Im gonna keep my C7GS 7-speed forever, maybe donate it to a race track if I decide to join one on the ground level.
The exciting stuff for this year were the "off-roading" sports/hyper cars like the sterrato, dakar.
2024 could be exciting for me as I want to purchase my first mid engine car in manual coupe, hoping to find a: R8(V10), F430/360, or Gallardo.

Barely anyone buys cars anymore. Can't remember the last time I knew someone that bought a sports car either. It's all about having the biggest truck or suv on the road now.

Porsche is building some absolutely incredible cars right now putting that glorious GT3 engine into their mid engine platform where it belongs, but yea those aren't exactly very easily attainable cars even if you have the money.
It definitely won't be getting any better as they keep making cars more and more disposable packing them with all this electronic crap that is going to fail.
