One thing I did which got a lot of attention was charging for time during interview processing.
A lot of people didn't like it
Most didn't.
But...it made me stand out.
Bill them for your time, send them an invoice to their billing depth. Srsly

All the other rounds prior to that were white people.

Your schtick sucks and it screams insecurity.

They strung you along just in case plan A failed.

I'm a black male living in California and I've been ghosted all the same, and from numerous races too. Even other black members of a team.

We do this because we're just trying to fill our calendars with pointless meetings to pretend like we're working. And sadly, candidates are used as pawns in our game of timewasting.
Sorry, boyo, you got used as a pawn in someone else's game. But sadly, it's an aspect of jobhunting that you have to deal with.

Tech, real estate, and finance have gotten slaughtered. The good news is that demographics are on our side. Once we come out of this downturn/slowdown, there's going to be a hiring boom imo and not enough people to fill these jobs with so many boomers retired. Also saw the job reposted on LinkedIn today. This is why I lol at the idea of loyalty to a company. They won't hesitate to F you over any time it is convenient for them to do so. My advice to folks is to act accordingly.

It's possible they did a social media search on you. You can pay companies fifty bucks to trawl the web looking for chit on you.

If it hasn't been said before...there are so many applicants it's a waste of time to contact to say no job unless it's built into your recruiting software.
No reason for you to not get the automated no job email when moved to rejected.

I can understand them not getting back to people after one or two rounds of interviewing, at which point they likely cover it by saying "You'll here from us by xzy, if you get the job". Leaving someone hanging by ghosting them after 5 interviews is a pretty shiiitty thing to do.If it hasn't been said before...there are so many applicants it's a waste of time to contact to say no job unless it's built into your recruiting software.
