Yeah fukkem. Not only are they wasting my time but also the time of 3 different fkkn managers up to VP level. It's like they don't know what to do with their time.

Mirin, this is the way. Unfortunately it seems like nobody has any kind of decision making competency any more and they want to spread the responsibility among the whole fkkn management team of the company, so nobody is responsible if they hire some fukkup.

Literally 2 weeks out of college, just graduated. Sending out resumes, I get an interview with a place about an 45 minutes away. That day I put on the suit, drive over, have what seems is a decent interview and then the guy looks at my resume while I'm sitting there and says that they are looking for someone with a few years of job experience. I just bert stare him. It didn't seem that they didn't like me or I messed something up and that was just an excuse. I actually think that the lack of experience was the issue. I told him that they had my resume therefore it was obvious that I just graduated and that I felt that they just wasted the time of both sides. He seemed embarrassed and didn't know what to say.

Did the front office not filter for things like that upfront? Were that that poorly run? But I ended up much better because that place went out of business within a few years (I knew because my much better paying job caused me to drive past that place daily).

Maybe in some remote work camp

Do you make over 65 dollars an hour on the regular yes or no .

65 $ for a welder would be high anywhere

With the conditions you listed, I wouldn’t do it for less than 200k. There’s no point in stressing for only 20k. Why are you even wasting your time and asking for such an insignificant increase?

Trying to switch industries/specialization for long term gains.
Told them the 150k is my current salery, so was gunning for a nice little bump.

Whatever, onto the next one.

Jesus I am surprised at all the people telling OP he should be thankful for that amount because they have less. How about ya'll just take a job that pays you in literal peanuts and rainwater runnoff? There are starving people in the world and you ungrateful louts are wanting MONEY?

If you are unsatisfied with your current lot in life...identify your goals...come up with a reasonable Point A to Point B...and then get to it even if it will take you a decade to get there. Bunch of short term goal seeking ankle biters pissed that someone who can delay gratification longer than them is getting bigger payouts.

OP I don't know **** about your job or your job market, but I wish you good luck. Stick to your plan and don't give up.

It's important to be assertive and know your worth and not settle for less that what you truly believe you are worth. Of course, the caveat is to be realistic.

That's the current cuck trend of defending billionaires/corporations for not paying good wages, all because Person A makes more than Person B, therefore YOU should be happy you make X and not Y. No logical person can look at cost of living trends and wage trends and tell me we're not getting shafted.

My current job had one low key interview over drinks and it pays triple the amount of a job that had 6 interviews; and I didn't get that job.

Why you making excuses for a corporation that has a poor interview process that wastes time and resources?

not even making excuses but OP could've asked if they could meet it the moment he mentioned his expectations

or that it was give or take and he's not even considering a counter-offer

especially for a SALES function this does not look convincing lmfao

Why do you seem so mad about this?

Does this situation seem logical from your perspective if you put yourself in the shoes of the recruiter or hiring manager?

Brb looking for high performer sales guy who will work his azz off to close multi million euro projects for my team

Brb ideally have a chit load of industry experience and immaculate track record

Brb find a suitable candidate and interview him

Brb ask candidate how much money he currently makes in his role and aim to get him to leave his current high paying job where he's a top performer

Brb agree to move on and recommend to their boss to hire this guy for the job

Brb thanks Mr. Candidate, you seem like a great fit and we would like to hire you. We will offer 0 job security, a piss poor car policy and 20% less pay.

I even asked him about career development options and possibility to make up for some of the pay difference with car allowance or benefits.
