Clean and Sober with Michael Keeton...

Never really knew much about addiction before watching this. It was insightful about the behaviors of people and what they are willing to do to feed their addictions!

So many to list, first comes to mind is Trainspotting.


It's showed what an absolute hell drug addiction is, how it entirely fcks up your life and the absolute squalor and filth drug addicts live in. That crazy hallucination scene where the dude was screaming, made me NOPE off of ever trying heroin, ever.


I also knew a guy like Begbie. A total psychopath who enjoyed hurting people and would start fights for literally no reason, sometimes. We were at a club once and he just says he wants to start a fight, hits some random guy next to him.

Movie taught me that psychopathic fuksticks like that go only two places: Prison, or cemetry.

I don't know about any films that had a positive impact on me exactly. There have been an assload of films that moved me and made me feel something, see things in a new perspective. The first two that come to mind (and they are kind of similarly threaded) American Beauty and Office Space. My takeaway from those two films was about following what makes you happy and being happy despite life's frivolities. Being grateful and staying centered on what keeps you grounded and content in life rather than continuously chasing things that elude you. I'm sure there's more I'm leaving out but I'm kinda tired rn ngl on god

Soul is one of my favorite Pixar movies ever. The scene when Joe lines up the Apple core, pizza crust and other things his little soul buddy enjoyed then begins playing the piano while remembering his life brings the feels.

That scene got me back into playing music as a hobby.

To answer OP's question: "Saving Private Ryan", when Tom Hanks tells him to "earn it" after saving Ryan's, knowing he's going go on to live a full life. Makes you realize every day is a gift and you shouldn't waste your life.

Not a movie but I grew up in high school watching One Piece anime (like it was only 500 episodes back then) and the spirit of Luffy entered me, I became about my nakama. I love that word. Nakama.
