Yes this is the pattern with bitcoin. It is a buy the news pump and dump scheme. My guess is that the "halving" (whatever in the fukk that means) will be the next hype event, there be another run up to that, and it will dump again. Tale as old as cyrpto.

But point is, if SEC, for example, decided to pull the plug on the whole scam, bitcoin is actually big enough that a sudden drop to $0 could actually wreck our financial system. Pretty fukken scary that a fake asset has so much power.

2017 was free because money came pouring into all the same things… It's more free now if you know the culture. Doge didn't even reach its ATH before 2021
for sum context… in the ibc ecosystem there was recently an airdrop with the ticker $TIA… if you were staking certain coins you got ridic amounts, many people i know made high 6 figures from it. Literal high 6 figures just appeared in their wallets. Now DYM is coming out like I said, and many more

First republic had a cap market cap 1/100th of the crypto cap, and at their peak their aggregate deposits were less than 1/5 of crypto cap. And it's failure almost caused a global meltdown if not for big daddy fed coming to the rescue.
Imagine if $1.5T in market cap suddenly goes down to 0 what kind of chit show we will have. The gov has no choice here - they can't let it fail. The best they can do is try to slowly walk it down to zero over a timeline of 10 years.

usa created bitcoin as a last resort against the dollar losing power. They could have stopped it well before it reached this point but didn't. They own most of it including Satoshis wallet. They want mass adoption of bitcoin and will usher it in under the guise of 'anti establishment'
