shot to kill? no. Shot to stop you as a threat? yes, and I've done it once many years ago.

Absolutely this. The first time I saw a skinned bear irl (it looks realllly human with the head removed) I almost turned vegetarian and I hunt with a trad bow and arrows I make.

I don't CCW every day with the intention of not protecting myself, my family, friends or any innocent lives if the situation arises.

I hope I never have too though.

Absolutely, especially if it concerns my kid's safety.

It's scary to think of what I'd be capable of if it meant his safety.

I get what you mean - this is why I chose that example in the OP. I think if my wife or child were in danger, and I could safely eliminate the threat instantly, that I would do it easily. Home invasion - even more so. But it's one thing to think you can, another to do so.

I mean if someone was running at my baby girl / my wife with a knife, I'd cut them in half with a Benelli M4. At least, in my mind I would.

It would tear me apart later and would any normal human would have trouble accepting and not regretting it afterwards, BUT in the moment if someone is threatening my child, or anyone else I care about, and that is the only way to stop them, then so be it. I will try and make it a clean, non suffering kill shot(s). The worse thing imaginable would be the regret of not acting when you could have and your loved one being killed. Imagine that guilt. Fauk.

I try to not let anger take me over and just do what is necessary.

I worked security at a night club once right, I'm taking this baller and his girl to their car in a golf cart, I drop them, they tip me and I see a fight breaking out =].

At this time, I'm young, I like fighting and it's 3 dudes beating one drunk guy so now I'm extra happy, no mercy on my mind but I'm Black (so I'm thinking prison)lol. So I push one dude off him as I enter, turn, KO his homie and then this is the sick part, I catch his body before he hits the ground and lay him down gently lol. I don't fight anymore or at least I don't like it.

Long story short, only if absolutely necessary, I don't need revenge.

Yeah but only in self defense. I'm not so fragile that I'd think about shooting someone over an argument, road rage, etc

It counts as self defense if someone kills a loved one and I go hunting

Oh yeah if there was good reason to 100%. I don’t respect the average person much as it is, so if somebody was snatching my kid etc it’d be goodnight
Remember the guy that gave up? Neither does anybody else.

This. I love my beef, I eat it all the time. Except when when I was staying on a farm in the outback they killed a cow which is a regular ass thing which happens a million times a day. But watching it get flayed and disembowelled was sickening, the smell was overwhelming, and seeing its blood, fluids and guts going everywhere. A cow has a chitload of innards, too.

Even worse was that the farmdogs ran up and nibbled on the cow viscera. Fukking yuck.

I still enjoy hunting with a rifle and compound bow, though. It's a fun past time and kangaroo meat is very proteinacious.
Back off, Warchild.

Seriously.
