yes. a lot of people seem to get caught up in certain podcast circles and that becomes their reality / shapes their mind. it's all they can think about because they listen to it for 4 hours a day. they are brainwashing themselves.

I get listening to them on occasion but I don't understand how they're so popular now and how so many people dedicate their lives to making them every day. What happened to just the good ol Joe Rogan/art bell style podcasts? Those were at least interesting. Most podcasts now are like you said brainwashing or just some q/a stuff lol. Certainly not something I could be listening to 4 hours per day.

There's way too many of them. Really the only one I pop on is Tim Dillon from time to time.

Schulz is a tool. Kreischer is a needy, self-centered drunk. Segura and his wife are insufferable, smarmy retards. Bobby Lee got cucked so hard and still does a podcast with his very deranged ex. Bill Burr is still funny but god damn he got softer than baby chit. JRE has always been too big of a time investment. Marc Maron is still a narcissist, but a much preachier one nowadays. Cumtown seems like it is made for 15 year old kids and has some retard constantly cackling. Conan is still funny but has that annoying lady and dude who do nothing but fake laugh at everything he says.

There's a weird genre of YouTube in which unfunny people bish about this chit specifically, but what is weird is they are getting almost as much views as the podcasts themselves. It's like "Drama channels" but focused on comedians.

I think comedy is dying in this era, in general. Too much of the culture in 2024 is regurgitating and remixing...memes and chitposting, IE, acting like a retard and being intentionally terrible at stuff. Which is one step up from weirdos lipsyncing scenes from movies.
