Yes, i am noticing a lot of inefficiency, incompetence and cognitive decline overall. It's not everyone but i see pretty much anywhere i go. I also don't understand how nobody works anymore. 10 years ago if you went out during the day there would be barely anyone on the streets. It's as packed as New York on new years now all day.

summer of 1995 was the pinnacle of western civilization.

I largely base this on the buying power of the dollar VS. fast food prices. which has long been the gold standard of real buying power.


I worked at Burgink in HS at the time, this was the last time the full size whopper was $1 on wednesdays.....on Whopper Wednesday in the summer of 1995 almost every car in drive through was buying 20 whoppers minimum....it was crazy,,,,we had to keep 100 regular whoppers up for level to keep up and that was often not enough.....we were selling 100-200 whoppers every 10-15 minutes. in a small town of 12,000 regular sized BK.

the USA dollar has never sine that point been even close to that buying power we had in 1995.

This is the 1 and only time I will give you attention, and my advice is:

I think it's as simple as this:

Humans are as happy as the information they ingest.

90's internet was scarce and less utilized. 2000's it ramped up. 2010's majority of 1st world and some of 3rd world is subject to it. 2020's all of 1st world and most of the 3rd world is subject to it.

Now in 2024 we ingest every little political issue, social issue, economic issue, foreign affair, international conflict. Now we identify bias and misinformation where it was previously less identifiable. Now we absorb everything that anyone decides to post that we are subject to read.

Along with negative information overload, we have most people staying in their homes and pursuing sedentary lifestyles and unhealthy behaviors to boot.

The earth didn't change. Humans changed with the new technology.

How do you correct this for yourself as an individual? The answer isn't to avoid technology, as it is likely a major part of any remotely decent career, perhaps also some of your ideal hobbies. Instead it's to ingest what is positive, ingest what is neutral, and avoid the negativity. Avoid the cesspools of the news websites, subreddits, forums, where negativity is spread. Remain blissfully ignorant, as all of the 1st world has done in the 1900s and older.

Enjoy your little world, and phark the rest. SRS. Your happiness should be your #1 priority, and this can be accomplished via ignorance of negativity, and via indulgence in positivity.

I've been listening to a lot of 90s-early 2000s music and there is a huge difference in how much passion they had about their music and acting in music videos. Social media has ruined everything and companies like FB or Google should go through a Nuremberg trial type process srs. I mean just look at how everyone acts and feels towards each other, it's BS.

I enjoy watching the music videos but I can't help but feel like they created something, and we lived through, the last joyful era of the United States.
