Well, in the early 90s you litterally had to hand out resumes in person.

Nowadays you can do in the comfort of your home using the internet; yet people still prefer to use the internet to fck around on some immature forum.

Life was generally easier and people were generally happier. Having everyone connected to everyone 24/7 was a mistake.

Was only a kid then, but if I had to guess:

Easier? No
More fun? Yes

When you aren't connected to everyone 24/7, you have to make those in person moments count. Technology makes things way more convenient, but people aren't happier for it.

Vacations were more exciting before Google. Looking at a paper map and falling for tourist traps was a whole experience.

Phones had whacky and sometimes stylish designs and weren't just a big screen.



Movies were much better. Tropic Thunder can never be made in this idiotic era.



Idk about easier, but it was probably more fun.

Nah it was just as hard, if not harder.

That said, Americans were lucky compared to other countries. More goods, resources, and science. So even the poors were way better off than poors from other countries. This is why they are all wanting to immigrate to the US.

1. Very few women had Botox/facial surgeries
2. No issue about gender
3. None of this incel/pills nonsense

it was probably harder/worse in some ways and better/easier in other ways which is maybe true of every generation/time-period on the human timeline. I'm sure that there was some romantic element to the hunter/gatherers sitting around the fire under the stars enjoying the life they knew but they also lacked our modern med which fortunately helps to develop vaccines against threats to our existence

Mostly everyone lives on the internet these days and structure their lives accordingly.

Imagine going back to landlines, no texting/social media, and TV Guides, the average person in 2024 would not cope well with that

Of course everyone was happier, would be lying if they say it wasn't.

I was happier as a kid to knowing that I could fap multiple times a day without breaks or getting tired.

Good guess. Not easier, but more fun. There was less mental illness, less fat young people. Back in the early 2000s you could easily graduate without anything more than a sprinkling of politics injected into one or two of your classes, and being colorblind was encouraged. Only some people had cell phones and all they could do was make a call. Texting someone a sentence took 5 minutes.

90’s were great but I’d definitely say 80’s were the goat . The world just seemed less stressful and enjoyable to me .
A lot of great music came out of the 80’s and 90’s also .

Does anyone know what is going on? I've been out for a few hours and it is just non stop traffic out. Then you try to go somewhere and the 2 employees there don't even know what they are doing. Everyone is in some hurry for some reason too. Literally just had 20 cars speed past me going 30 over the limit

How is this economy functioning like this? How is constantly so busy out you can't even do anything it's so busy
