Or, you can put your money where your mouth is, start your own business and show us all how it's done?

California introduced a 20 dollar minimum wage, how's that working out?

And what do you think a business will do if they have to pay their employees time and a half, after 32hrs?

What do you think it'll do to city budgets, when they have to pay their city workers, time and a half after 32hrs?

****, fast food employees in Cali will be making 30 dollars an hr, after they passed 32hrs for the week…..

The 9-5 40 hour work week has only 1 goal:

Wageslaving = exhaustion. Exhaustion = watching brainwashbox. Watching brainwashbox =complete control over the human mind

Americans wake up, eat 10,000 calories of McDonald’s, wage slave a 9-5, and then come home and pass out on the couch watching brainwashbox and drinking beer. Then they wake up after 4 hours of sleep and do it all over again

They don’t have the energy, let alone the time to have one single independent thought

The goal of the 9-5 is to remove all independent thought and to turn you into a programmed drone

Actually, it was so they could work during the day, and then spend the evening hrs with their wife and kids. SHOCKING….. isn't it?

The rest of your post makes zero sense.

This helps to further punish part time workers and incentivizes companies like retailers to only schedule people 31 hours a week.

It takes a certain temperament, to deal with Savages. Personally, I know how to **** with them, without losing my cool.

They see red tape, blood on the ground, ask me what happened, and I reply with, "I donna know."

Anyway, click your heels three times, and wish for a 32hr work week, and who knows, maybe your wish will come true……

I normally think everything Sanders says is retarded, but I like where he is going with this.
Of course implementing it will be difficult, but too much of people's lives are wasted away with the time requirements for jobs.
Your time is way more valuable. No one says on their death bed, "I wish I spent more time in the cubicle".

A cultural re-alignment for a more favorable work-life balance is an overall good thing.
Corporations and business won't do it willingly, so they will need to be nudged toward it. The market will adjust accordingly. Yes, it might cause some initial stress, but overall I think it's worth it.

This will merely lead to more inflation. I know several retail store managers and all of them complain they're limited on the amount of hours they can give already. Nothing good will come from this. Then again, nothing the modern day left wants is actually based in the real world. Just fantasy land.

Its been 3-4 years since Trumps been out, maybe they can pin the totally surprising inflation from this proposal on Trump still

So you wouldn't collect any overtime until you work more than 32 hrs, so what do you think is gonna happen? Take a guess.

Having a 3 day weekend every week would be nice. However…This would negatively affect a lot of people who depend on that fifth day of work in order to have those workers as customers.

Would be a big disruption as well with anyone dealing with international customers and colleagues.

It might be better to go from 40-35 and keep the 5 day work week.

What really needs to happen is the government needs to eliminate a lot of the wasteful military spending and then use taxation to transfer wealth back to the poor and middle class. They need to be taxing a whole lot more at the top end and also coming down hard on companies to reallocate wealth to the poor.
So the top 1% pay about 42% of all income tax and thats not enough?

They make about 26% of the income in the country as well….so whats fair?

Plenty of millionaires and billionaires pay zero income tax because they have losses and/or take no salary…then have no capital gains because income is so low despite living on capital gains.
