the key is limiting exposure... plus you shouldnt be drinking tap water, instead using reverse osmosis, but even then that has plastic parts. just dont run warm or hot water through it

This is why I switched to pour overs(stainless pour over and kettle) Plus I only make 2 cups max at a time. I almost bought a Ratio or Technovorm a few times because of metal construction. No hot plastic is key.
