Eh, idk. What is "me?" A lot of people care about the continued existence of me, which frustratingly compels me to continue existing.

Fair as many things are and your life experience might entirely justify this perspective. But not everything is and seeing opportunities for win/win outcomes and leading others to those outcomes is an alpha trait. Your life experience is only ever your life experience so far, the past is an imperfect predictor of the future.
