I remember staring at my bank account screen crying just trying to figure out a way to spend any of it to make me feel better and I couldn’t think of anything at all srs

yes if prices dont fluctate,
and the ability to have a job lined up in a matter of days.
but lately with the outsourcing/foreigners taking jobs
inflation
high tech. and Ai and bots
things are heading south. they are buttfuking the middle class at a faster rate.

When I was in the Peace Corps, my allowance was AUD$400/mo. Some of the best times of my life living on a tiny island. The last year I was there, I was married, had an outrigger canoe, and fished pretty much every day after work. I realized the other day that when I fantasize about retirement, I'm basically picturing that year.

Definitely. I was happy when i was poor and I’m happy now that I’m not. Money hasn’t changed my life just where I live and which hobbies I have.

Yes you can be happy, let me share my story with you,
Once I was at Riverfest.
Three day live music festival in Little Rock with like five stages etc.
good time.
B.O.B. playing.
I was a little self conscious despite being easily top 5% of aesthetics there, my friend convinced to me to take my shirt off.
Obviously women just eye ****ed me all day. Pretty standard stuff for any gym rat in an environment where it isn’t weird to show off being a gym rat and most people there have never seen a gym…..
I am 5’7”.
Me and my friend who is around my height, and DYEL status started making our way to the front of the crowd to be in front of the stage.
I guess people don’t like it when you do this.
Like, even though they could just push their way up front, they don’t, and they yell at other people who do.
This is in a grass field. There is no reserved seating or anything.
Some drunk dude started yelling at my buddy. He was pissed. At least 6 feet. You could feel with his body language he was legit mad. He started yelling at my friend hard af.
It took me a second to realize he wouldn’t even look at me going off on this rant. Once I saw the weakness, I slowly walked up to him, put my open palm in front of his face, inches away, and closed my fingers as a type of command for him to shut his mouth.
He literally did not even acknowledge me.
His wife/gf looked at me and started begging me to just leave it.
Even though I was all up in space he was not engaging me, only my friend.
He was not a threat at all.
This same thing happens to much smaller degree two or three more times. People just getting passive aggressively mad, but letting us through.
As people do be, most were cool.
So when we got to the front we made some friends and they were saying how they pretty much had to fight their way up there. I didn’t even think about that one guy because most people were cool about it, and I told him I didn’t have that hard of a time.
“Look at you man, of course you didn’t”
It is a different world man.
~180 lbs, 10-13% bf, 17.5 inch arms perfect proportions.
zero fighting ability and way more confidence than I should have.
at the same time though, insecure pussies (alphas), are threatened by your mere existence and like to start chit. So you have to deal with that.

I think its possible to be happy living on a home-stead or a minimalist life. However unless you are able to secure a wife and have wife and kids. You'll be regarded as a loser/social outcast. Especially in that circle.
As a man if you are going to go through life solo. It pays to be a winner. Able to party a lot and game/smash lots of good looking women. To do this, you need to be very financially secure.

Is it simply NPC thinking that we absolutely have to chase the carrot of more money, nicer things, more status to live happy and fulfilled lives?

I can't sustain my happy lifestyle on less than $200k a year (ded fkn srs)
Entertainment, utilities, fuel for the car - and happily enough my only debt is leverage for real estate investments which are generating similar income to loan expenses anyway - so when tenanted, I'm effectively debt free.

Is where you can live
The only difference
crime rates
School districts
Neighbours
Concentration of liquor stores and pawn shops
Quality of hospitals
Parks and recreation
Facilities

No big deal at all really
Let this be a lesson to you folks, don’t have kids past your mid 30’s or they come up with retarded chit like this

Remember that when you are seeing videos of people with young kids doing this and its some idyllic looking lifestyle that they are usually trust funders just playing poor.
Life is much funner with a lot of money in the bank.
Watch that homestead rescue show and you see what people actually live like. pigs and chickens roaming all over the place, no water, filthy conditions, broke, no possibility of any sort of future. Happiness is a day without stepping in ****.
