Free market. They’re free to charge what they want…we’re free to refrain from purchasing. We don’t buy, they go out of business. They offer a good price, they get rewarded with business and they grow.

Limit prices on goods and companies close their doors because profit margins are thin and it’s no longer worth producing those goods. Things start disappearing from shelves, stores start closing their doors. That sound good to you?

I swear, some of you people should not be allowed to vote…ded fuggin srs.

It is actually insane how anyone can't immediately see the problem with price control. Then $25k for a down payment without supply significantly changing just lol.

I hope she keeps talking more about policies.

I just made a post about this, but I was alive in the 70s and we are in a repeat of that time. There was massive woke culture, huge inflation, and some price gouging laws were passed back then.

Inflation triggers people to be desperate, it is caused by profit seeking, and we go through this cycle over and over. We are now in a time when jobs will be threatened due to automation. There's many experiments going one with Universal Basic Income. That will be needed as computers, robots, etc take over jobs and some people have no income.

Price gouging laws with then allow UBI to work and various capitalists will not be able to raise prices to steal the UBI money.

That's what is slowly happening now.

Food is a rational thing to price fix, then it will move to rent, and other essential costs.

One way or another that is going to happen.
Wahahahahahaahaha

People like this deserve the venezuela they want to vote in.

You don’t have to buy 3 boxes of zebra cakes. Buy a bag of rice and beans. Could literally make a few weeks worth of meals by cooking your own dinner. They’ll charge whatever you’re willing to pay. That’s. How. It’s. Always. Worked. If you’re buying it and you truly believe it’s price gouging, then the only one to blame is you.

This. Feel like this should be common sense but nope. Hell, we talked about **** like this in ECON in undergrad.

Legit, fast food drive through are packed during meal times still. People complain about the pricing but then pay it. If you just took some time and budgeted things, created a consistent grocery list, looked for coupons, you can cut into a big chunk of the food price increase.

But people don’t want to do that. When things get tougher, you fight back/do what you can. You don’t continue the behavior that got you there and complain about it, when you aren’t doing anything yourself to mitigate the situation yourself.

The problem is, a lot of ****s vote with their emotions and a “what helps me best” attitude instead of “what’s best for the country as a whole”

Look at those Covid giveaways. People used it on non essentials. Those are the same people complaining about **** in 2024. I got it, I didn’t need it because I still had my job, so I paid my student loans with it. May as well give them their money back

It’s the Apps too. They offer deals to get you to their store more often. And people do, to use rewards, so there is ZERO reason for any of these places to support something like this. And because these brands bring in MONEY to the country, you bet your ass this is going to piss a LOT of people off.

I am hoping that pushes Trump to the V

On spread, I’ll get you.

White people are the biggest cucks in modern history.

They will fall for anything told to them by their "superiors" from religion to economics.
