Why go to the psychologist at all if you're not gonna cooperate?
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

Doesn't have to be about being at the psychologist, just the general situation OP is talking about

Random example is your at a car dealership wrapping up your purchase and the finance manager is trying to play mind control on you to get you to buy a warranty that you don't want to buy

"So I understand that you don't want a warranty, but let me ask you, do you know the average price for an engine replacement?"

Or your talking to a Comcast salesman at Sam's club, the kind that literally don't take no for an answer

Sometimes it's better to just stop communicating

When my wife and I went to buy her last car, the sales man starts asking her about all the extra crap, she says talk to my husband as he makes these kinds of decisions, I told him I'm not interested in any of it, and that was that.

The literal answer to this is be assertive and speak your mind.

Next time you get a door to door solicitor, give that a try. They literally won't leave until you purchase or slam the door in their face

Used to get a lot of them. I would politely tell them I'm not interested and close the door.
