Can you quantify what you mean by insane inflation? It seems like you're banking on things getting completely out of control.

What I've done to hedge is guns, gold/silver, ammo, 6 months food supply, being equipped to survive without water/electricity sources, and minimizing expenses. Don't really have use for cars/homes/land in the near term so if anything I may just buy more gold as a hedge. I also have a 0% CC expiring in January that I need to pay off.. so there's that.

As much as I feel like the fed is downplaying inflation, they are some smart people, surely they have a plan so things don't get out of control right? surely? lol

This. Everything ive seen from people who seem to not be driven by govt or a weird agenda say that every time a virus has a variant like this, that the above is true. They dont want to kill their hosts, it's basic evolution. They want to survive longer and spread easier. Killing the host doesnt do either….

oh man just realized we all could've made some money on something like amazon earnings by buying 0dte puts far out of the money. Contracts were only like $0.30 or so strikes 300 out of the money since it was on a thursday. Couldve also bought a call to play a straggle for a little more but well worth the risk.

don't even need to get that sexy with it. we're not even at peak covid/delta fud and spy is already pulling back. I don't like getting into new positions going into the weekend, but i don't see the news outlets reversing their fear mongering for optimism. Might take another large spy-put position closer to market close.

This bill would statutorily prohibit market makers from “trading ahead” or engaging in insider trading. It would also require the CEO of each market maker to annually certify that the CEO has performed reasonable due diligence during the reporting period to ensure the market maker has not engaged in the prohibited activities. ”
