It’s going to be an LE, as the p-02, 03, etc will be released every two years as per the original.

I say definitely the one nicer watch, but that's just my philosophy overall: 1 nice thing vs several lesser ones. Also look into Dekla, in-house German dials and cases with hardened options for far less than Sinn:

Visual context helps. I simply don't take good "wrist shots". A woman's datejust would look large on my wrist because of how thin my joints are, but in the context of my whole frame I think I get away with my 43mm Tudor comfortably. The P01 enforcer is rocking is a 42mm.

Like always maxing out a company matched 401k contribution. You always opt for the bracelet configuration when feasible knowing you can always get a leather strap. Trying to find a bracelet after the fact is ass.

This is especially the case when the bracelet configuration is brand new 33% off retail. 4800 for that watch bnib is a retarded deal. Wish it had been that price a month ago, I wouldn’t be wearing this bronze

Agree/10. I dunno what it is. When i first walked into my AD last july they had a SS/YG Daytona that i tried on. It…didn't work…in my opinion. Only gold im really a fan of is RG because it just doesn't seem as….Cartel-ish?

I saw the Tudor 2tone Chrono in the same shop I saw the 2tone Daytona so I was able to walk back and forth between the cases to compare what I liked and didn’t like about both. The Tudor is visually more appealing for a variety of reasons:

- The color of the gold itself. Rolex uses that traditional King Midas-esque YELLOW yellow gold. The Tudor uses a noticeably darker “honey” gold color. Makes it look a bit more conservative and less “cartel-is” as twovalve put it.

- The amount of gold used. As was just pointed out, Rolex actually does the entire bezel in gold while the Tudor keeps the bezel black and merely sprinkles in the gold on the tachymeter indicators

- Tudor uses 2 registers in their chrono, while the Daytona uses 3. In some configs of the Daytona (panda, platinum/icyblue-dial) it looks cool. In other color configs, it’s just too much going on.


I’ve never seen a two-tone watch that I’ve been interested in, but I think the darker color of gold on the Tudor and it’s sparse use on the bezel/dial is what is making this one seem so smart.

You hit the nail on the head with the king midas yellow gold. The tudor looks much more….aged?…and bronze.

Im all about under-statement, so i guess that's why i think what i do.

That same color combo works here on the Daytona. This configuration gets nicer and nicer the more I see it.

Popped into a rando cartier dealer to try on the white version of the santos since it's friday and fuk it why not. news to me, the blue version only comes in that large case size, i could of sworn it was also offered in medium but guess not.

I share the same sentiments of other people who have tried on this watch. The large seems too large and the medium seems too small. Between the two I prefer the medium as something to potentially wear with a sport coat or something like that. That said i'd have to see how i liked it compared to an oyster perpetual or smoothe bezel datejust with jubilee bracelet.

yup that's it. Replace the gold bezel with the darker one and it looks considerably nicer.

I've seen the hi beat springdrives in person. They're a sight to behold.


Before i knew about the bronze/grey offering from tudor. I was certain my next watch was going to be the aqua terra. Wanted a simple bracelet based watch that could be worn 24/7/365. Aqua terra was perfect for that, i've obviously given Cartier Santos multiple attempts too. That said, I just realized that the DJ41 with jubilee bracelet but smooth bezel is a very strong offering too. I always see DJs paired with the jubilee bracelet AND fluted bezel and it looks too gaudy for my taste. The smooth bezel on white dial looks fuking mint.

I like that with the smooth bezel and the stick markers.

Same, I would just have to decide if I wanted to go White dial or Rhodium dial. Love my bronze but want something a bit lighter in color for the summer months. The blue dial smooth bezel jubilee would be pretty sick, but i'm not trying to pay a premium for it.

Was unweir of fluted bezel functionality. I daresay though, the jubilee bracelet is the more eyecatching/widely-known distinction. Even if hundreds of brands tried to copy the look, I can spot a jubilee bracelet a mile away.

That also makes me realize why Enforcer picked up the P01 for vacation. With Tudors, you can tell they're quality pieces from a casual glance but nothing about them jumps out and says "$5,000+ on my wrist". I catch the occasional person glancing at my bronze but nothing over the top. I feel like the instant you have a Rolex with Jubilee bracelet you have to start being mindful of where you're wearing it. That chit isn't flying under the radar anywhere.
