I feel like there's a fuk ton they could do but aren't doing.

I remember way back when I went to the Arnold Classic 2 years in a row 2010/2011. AnimalPak you could do a bench your bodyweight contest. All supplement companies had Photo ops with their sponsored team members. Free samples. olympic lifting clinics. all kinds of chit.

Omega has cindy crawfords daughter as a brand ambassador. IWC has bradley cooper and Lewis Hamilton as ambassadors. Tudor has David Beckham. You all cant gather some of these *******s for photo ops?

Who was "intro to watch making clinic" to recruit interest into the next generation of oldcels who make all this chit?

Car Manufacturers have these big Apple/SteveJobs-esque epic drops. No reason rolex/patek can't do something of that magnitude.

Then of course anything watchbox studios could add to the mix. I dunno just seems like a metric fukton of untapped potential because old swisscels want to be stuffy and boring af. I'd fly over there if it was even remotely worth doing, but it's not.

So I couldn't wrap my head around the new Breitling Chronomat. 42mm. I couldn't decide whether i liked or hated the bracelet. It looks very Cartier Santos inspired.

Then I saw this color configuration. NOT gonna lie, I at least want to see it on wrist. Even if the pricing is ambitious with assumed 30% off the $8,000msrp… $5600… I'd rather have the cartier santos on wrist.

It looks like one of those old ones that stretches. When I was like 10, I found an Oscar de la Renta (it was worthless) watch on the sidewalk that had a bracelet like that, and even then I didn't like it. Bracelet aside, I think the Chronomat looks very nice.

Plot twist: Rolex releases a Daytona in the exact same color scheme as the 2nd chronomat photo. Fans nickname it "Cookies n Cream". Initial grey market prices are $28,000.

That's entirely possible, but it wouldn't be a SS model. They've been consistent with black or white only. With the golds, they've got a bunch of variations.

If you got the money, and feelin froggy, then leap.

It's the closest thing to the most perfect watch i've ever seen. Dressy, sporty, clean and subtle while also standing out. I think that's why I loved omega's Aqua Terra. It ticks a lot of those boxes at 1/10th the price. $20,000 for a watch… can't ever see allowing myself to make that purchase even if I knew I could sell it and get 80% of my money back. $12,000 (after tax) is about where I start to draw the line given my current earnings.

Wish they would stop fuking with it though. All the ugly fuking offshore versions are abominable. That's like if Rolex released a chronograph version of the datejust. or if BMW started putting 20inch wheels back in the 3series days.

I think the smooth bezel datejust is the best of both worlds. More luxurious than the omega, and if you get the jubilee bracelet, it would look close to being as cool on wrist as RO. Just wish the smooth bezel was more chiseled and less "bulbous"

Damn, can't say much about the brown strap but the black rubber… wow. For me it makes the A Lange Odysseus from trend chaser to it's own thing. and i love how the grey dial looks more than the clichΓ© blue. Either going to look like complete garbage or one of the best watches of 2020 on wrist.

Everytime i wonder why Vacheron is in the Swiss Holy Trinity (because I only hear about the overseas being a poverty Royal Oak), they drop a grand complication that's nothing but a middle finger to Patek and AP. My favorite was the "perpetual twin beat", but this is pretty awesome as well.

Trying to figure out exactly how that date wheel with 16 months works gave me a migraine. Great looking piece though.

It seems to skip two months in between each indicator. I have no idea how to read that chit.

I kick it around a little, but still have a soft spot for the BLNR. And part of me does think that about the AP. I'd want to go somewhere and put one on and see if it speaks to me. Which good luck with that one.

Im thinking whatever the next purchase is i want to get my house in NY sold, and back solidly in VA. Going to go to an AD there and see what kind of response i get.

I'm gonna have to start puttin way more respek on Vacheron's name. Patek has the ultra refined conservative designs. Audemars Piguet has the flawless Royal Oak. And Vacheron appears to be king of the FU watch. I would forego the rubber to get the all gold bracelet. LOOK HOW FUKING THIN THE CASE IS. Meanwhile tudor struggling to make a gmt function that doesn't look like a coffee mug on wrist.

Then there's this fuking thing. Yeah, I have no words. Apparently if you want a real Vacheron you have to come with a $75,000 check minimum.

Enjoy the Lange on rubber, doesn't look so great on the leather strap. Would prefer a different color dial.

yeah bro lol. i assume it has something to do with the strike being 1 for every 10 minutes rather than the quarter but still…

have you considered a 15500? around the same price as the ROC, open caseback and the new movement fits the case nicely

No, not at all. I don't think I've ever tried one on but the specs loolike it's gonna wear super huge. I'm in that 38mm AP time. Wrist is 6.75".

Historically, i've had the panomatic lunar on my short list of watches to get. I love the design even if it is the "poor man's Lange 1", but it's far easier for me to digest buying a $7500 dress watch as opposed to a $17,500 dress watch. That said… this watch was perfectly fine as a white or blue dial. Could have been a potential hit in a brown dial shade, but green? Yeah no thanks, i'm sweet.
