Anyone gonna try to convince me that with Kaepernick pulling his stunt during an election year that he's less of a distraction than Tim Tebow? I mean… that's why Tebow can't get a tryout, right?

Kaep sucks at fooball but he's always sucked at life. Can't wait until he's off this roster and out of the league.

The guy isn't going to stand until there is change. So…won't stand on Sept 11.

He is full on Muslim now…and wears Malcolm X hats. Get this scrub all the f'n team.

I don't live in SF so wearing any gear creates conversations I don't want to have. I'm not going to watch a game until dudes gone…dead serious. This organization is a f'n dumpster fire these days. Fuk them.

This whole Kap thing is overblown. Another event where people see it and wanna share their opinion. Like we need to hear it or give a fuk. Just play football at a high level and who cares if he wants to sit or stand during a national anthem.

Tebow can't get a tryout because he's awful, not because he's a distraction.

Did anyone mention the fact we cut Pears. Super stoked on that. Him and Devey made me hate them more than any two players I have ever hated.

Yes and I am happy! It looks like Balke might have done well with some of his trades and draft picks to fix the online. I will not give him to much credit because he did bring Pears and Devey, but he got rid of them.

Point being it looks like the Oline and the Dline could be built up again and be strong like it was. Not sure if it will ever be that good but a huge improvement over the last few years.

So now that it is official and we got Kerley. Do you guys think this is related to Ellington's injury? Kerley is a decent returner but at the same time we are thin in the receiver area.

Im sick of hearing about Kap but yet Id like to say my peace and move on.

Kap has the right to do what hes doing. I dont agree with how hes going about it and dont fully agree with his message but thats a whole different topic. There is always going to be issues within America and there will always be ignorant racist people and nothing is going to change that. The problem with society now is too many people want to play the victim and blame others.

With that said Kap needs to be released. What hes doing is a distraction to the TEAM because hes doing it in a game. It would be different if hed call a press conference on his own time and take a stand then. I also find it ironic that he didnt start this until he got serious with his new girlfriend. Also kind of funny that he compares a policemans training to a cosmologist. Pretty sure his GF is telling him what to say because no dude is going to know how long it takes a cosmologist to train or whatever they do. LOL dude is a joke.

Moving on…

What WR gets the ax now that Kerley was traded for? This was the depth chart I was thinking before the move was made. Maybe Smelter goes to IR? Burbage might go to PS.

To me the most interesting news was that if they cut him and another team signs him…however much he gets comes off the books for the 49ers. So in cutting him they have a chance(though slim after the chit he pulled) chance that another team picks him up and they free up some cash.

I think at this point Kap may not make the team. Looking back at the whole trade/no trade situation does anyone else think it's funny to now hear him talking essentially how money isn't important to him and he has to do what's right?

If money isn't important to you and you clearly wanted to get out from SF then why not take a pay cut and play somewhere where you have a fresh start and a better team around you? Certainly he could've made his message even louder as the starting QB for the defending SB champs.

I give Kap credit for doing his research on the matter and I respect his point of view…but nobody can convince me that he's doing this the right way. Dude is fuking brainwashed by his GF. That's tainted pussy right there. She got Aldon Smith to throw his career away first and now getting Kaepernick to do the same. Like a Kardashian x 10.

I'm curious what happens on Thursday…

btw i though I posted this like an hour ago lol. that's what I get from miscing from two computers.

Happy as hell to hear it…sad to see my boy Busta Anderson cut, was hoping maybe he can be a PS guy but guess he just hasn't shown enough to get there.

Pears getting cut is a great thing though. He's proven to be average at best. Much rather keep some young guy who can be developed and hope the starters stay healthy then hold onto a liability just cuz he's a vet.

I don't think any of those guys are leaving. i think Smelter gets put on the PUP or IR. Kerley gives Ellington time to get healthy and then maybe lets him concentrate on playing WR .

Yeah pretty fuking eerie. Hopefully the team can rebound quick enough though it's never fun to be looking for the franchise QB. Toughest position to fill.

Don't forget Kelly turned Nick Foles into a probowler… Though that isn't saying a whole lot. We just need a QB who is capable until we can find someone better. The only other thing that is not established is our receiver core. Other than that I think we should be good what what this new offense requires. But yes that is saying a lot and now we have to see how it looks.

Yep. Just got to hope Gabbert can be average at least and not turn the ball over a lot. When you are in year 1 of a rebuild your not going to solve all your holes. Just got to keep drafting well and hopefully get lucky with a QB pickup. Now is not the time to get desperate.

I think Gabbert should be able to do ok because I see our run game being successful this year. As long as he can not be completely terrible accuracy wise, IMO other than pure talent at WR, the offense isn't in bad shape, especially considering that our coach is proven offensively. Gabbert likes check downs and TE's mostly anyway so the talent at WR shouldn't bother him lol.

I think Kap still makes the team but its pretty clear Gabbert is the starter. I think all of this talk about his stand will die down once the season starts and more people are on to the new hot topic (whichever big public event goes down next whether is police brutality, or election BS, or some other random ****) as well as the fact that other players might join in on taking some type of protest.

And personally I do think that his GF is the reason for his demise, she changed the dude for sure but I don't buy into the fact that Kap is the reason for the downfall of the 9ers. He had nothing to do with Harbaugh and ownership feud, player retirements, the ****ty new stadium, or hiring Tomsula. If anything I think Kaps regressions (aside from his girl) is related to the instability of what he had here with the 49ers and how our whole organization went south.

ConservativeDailyPost.com reported: July 2015, Kaepernick converted to Islam during the offseason AND he is engaged to Nessa Diab, a Black Lives Matter activist who promotes what she calls “authentic Islam.” The Kaepernick’s will also have a traditional Muslim wedding. It will be enlightening to see what Ms. Diab does when Colin starts to treat her as a third class citizen because Islam encourages and demands men treat their women that way.

Chris Ault, who coached Colin Kaepernick at Nevada, says he likes Kap but considers his anthem stance "selfish"

I am starting to think Kap is done playing football. Two of his former coaches basically called him out. Kap used to be all about football and you could see it in him. The last few years his play started to drop off and at this point I think he is trying to get as much money as he can before he is done. Clearly he is messed up in his head and is trying to identify with something. I could sort of understand that because of his situation when he was a kid, but you would hope that he would be doing something different because of his adoptive family.

I'm not denying the dude is a head case right now I'm saying he's not the reason for the state of the 49ers the last two years and our downfall from harbaughs success or whatever you want to call it when we were good with Harbaugh. Like I said earlier and tigers post above says, this chick has him all sorts of fuked up and its clear football and being good at it is nowhere near his number 1 priority right now.

Right now it doesn't even matter cause he's not the QB.

Good point about his tattoos…seriously how good is Nessa's pussy? Aldon Smith lost his chit and fell off the wagon because of her to the point where he forced Baalke's hand and he got cut.

Kaepernick who was all about his christian faith converts to Islam because of her.

I still think if he kept his head from getting distracted by all this chit he could've turned into a decent player. Now he's fuked.

Honestly at this point I don't see how they can keep him on the roster. Eat the money and save the team the distraction. I hate seeing the 49ers get roped into his chit and other players shouldn't feel that this chit is bigger than the team(which it is now)

I think we should just take a chance and go with Gabbert and Driskel at QB and let Kap go. Hope Gabbert stays healthy or Driskel shows major improvement. Look at QB next year - Luke Falk is my guy until I see otherwise. Doubt we suck bad enough to land Watson.

No question that thread isn't exactly accurate. The reason for the 49ers downfall wasn't because they traded away Alex Smith and went with Kaepernick. Any team who loses as many pro bowlers/all pro players in one offseason will take a major dump…especially when the coaches who are hired are a joke.

Here's who left the 49ers before last season

Patrick Willis - all pro/HOF level player
Justin Smith - all pro/possible HOF level player
Aldon Smith - pro bowler/top tier pass rusher when he's not hitting the sauce
Frank Gore - pro bowl/HOF level player
Michael Crabtree - pretty good receiver
Stevie Johnson - pretty good receiver
Ray McDonald - top level starter
Chris Culliver - solid corner
Chris Borland - pro bowl player as a rookie
Mike Iupati - pro bowl level guard

You don't lose those type of players in one offseason and keep on keeping on.

Kap definitely isn't helping the situation though.

There are times I bring up a good point. Even last year I tried to give him a chance with the whole coaching situation but after this stuff I think he was starting to check out. Thinking more about this I actually think harbaugh kept him in check and he started to lose it after that. Well maybe I am wrong about that?

Either way he is done

I knew this would be a huge story soon as I heard it waking up Sunday morning but it did get bigger than I expected. I'm just annoyed at how mentally weak the guy turned out to be. All that potential essentially wasted because he didn't have it upstairs in the right way. Sounds like he used his offseason more to concern himself with Islam and social issues rather than getting ready to play football.

Either way i agree…i'd like to get back to talking about football and not social issues. It's why i think the best move for the team would be to release Kap unless he somehow lights it up on Thursday. It will be an interesting dynamic to watch though…will our guys block for him the same way or will they let someone slide by? Will the Chargers defenders be inclined to get in a couple of extra hits on him at the cost of a penalty? Maybe it actually helps him out since a lot of guys respect his message just wouldn't join him cuz of the consequences.

The thing that pisses me off the most is that for the second year in a row 49er fans have the longest wait for week 1 football. And being on the east coast it sucks donkey balls to wait around til 10:20pm til kickoff.

That Tuesday is going to be really non productive

On a new subject Doresy is back practicing. IF he is healthy this dline will have some crazy depth and could be pretty good.

Sad to see that Andy Lee is now traded to another team. Miss the guy…

So who is going to be our NT in base 3-4 sets? Dial? Purcell? Dorsey? Smith (if he makes the team?)

Not sure if Dial or Dorsey fit that role but if we are trying to get our best players on the field that might be them. I'm assuming Buckner and Armstead start at DE.
