The new breed of insanely quick M.2-based NVMe SSDs can overheat when they’re pushed to the limit for sustained periods, which is the last time you want to suffer slowdowns. To help maintain performance under pressure, the Zenith applies cooling to storage as well. Drives in the onboard slot are covered by the substantial chipset heatsink. Two more slots are available in an included DIMM.2 card that stands up drives next to the memory slots. This placement puts SSDs in the path of typical chassis airflow, and the module has mounts for fans up to 60 mm if you want direct cooling.

Bits & Chips with the latest rumors - these guys have solid rumors.
Entry level 16C/32T Threadripper to cost $849.
More rumors:
The 18C Xeon Gold 6154 has a 3.0 Ghz base and 200W TDP - same silicon as the 18C SKylake-X.
Going by the clocks of the 1800X, Threadripper could run comfortable at 3.7GHz with 200W use.

The ETH mining frenzy has made 470 and 480 cards go for insane amount on eBay.
Even old 290X cards and 280X are going for huge amounts.
480 cards easily sell for $300-400 used. (Check eBay)
I almost got sucked back into the mining grind, but hey, it's so much work maintaining these rigs and such that it's easier just to take a cup of coffee and invest some into an index fund.
(Although, gridcoin seemed interesting given that they are coins that are earned by spending computational power on doing research -https://boinc.berkeley.edu/-What is Gridcoin?)

I was lucky enough to somehow get 5 480s on newegg that randomly came in stock a week or so ago. I also grabbed a MSI 470 Gaming X off craigslist for only $165 the same time. So far my rig is on track to get almost 1 ETH and around 4000 SIA in its first week.

It's not likely it will be very north of $500 given their current track record with Ryzen.

What wallet and miner are you using or will be using?
Was hoping for Vega to launch during the Computex so I can dedicate my 295X2 for mining but it got delayed. Still haven't started but I might try soon just to see how it is.

Anyway, if I will use my GPU mining, this is what the site say I'll get.
On a monthly basis assuming maybe I use it as full time miner using my current gaming rig, it will cost me about $50/mo on power consumption. But I'll get about 1.44 eth/mo @ $220/eth, that will be $316/mo. So about a net profit of $266 monthly as shown in the link. For the current rate of eth, I think that's not too bad even using a gaming rig.
But I plan to make a separate mining rig if the test on my gaming is positive. Maybe I'll get my son's 295x2 so I can run 2 of them and just buy him a 1080 lol.
CryptoCompare
Edit: Just realized my buy-in already appreciated. Trying not to monitor them so I haven't checked since I bought them until I saw the rate now lol.

Having a secondary machine to run it on is the best option, since if you actually want to use your gaming PC, you can't mine and play games at the same time.

Can't decide between getting the 7700k with a decent motherboard like the regular asus prime, or getting a 6700k off of ebay for £60 less and using that £60 to go with the asus maximus vIII hero meaning a better oc and better board in general.

^^Looks like there are ASIC miners for Ethereum though.. looks pretty costly for not a terribly significant hash rate.
I assume AMD is king with Ethereum as it was with Bitcoin/Litecoin? Probably why you can't even get AMD cards on Amazon right now (or they're massively overpriced like $450 for an RX 480).

I put in 9.6kwh from my electric company but it comes in all wrong on the calc.

I have 6 evga 1070 SC on the way tuesday going to see how an nvidia rig does but not sure if i mine eth or something different. You can also dual mine ethereum at the same time as a few other coins like pascal, lbry, sia so right now im doing ETH/SIA but that stresses the cards a bit more and uses 1020W. Just going off what I've been doing in the past 3 days id be making ~$1000/mo but that obviously will change with difficulty and price of the coin.
Here is my last bills summary. Can you explain what my kw/h is that I would enter into calc?

Also saw this on my bill "The average price you paid for electric service this month was 8.6¢ per kWh."

It looks like you get charged in teirs and lower usage is less? Either way it looks like the highest tier usage is almost .13 once you add in the delivery charge so maybe just use that since any additional usage will be in that tier. Cant wait to see what my $50-60 electric bill is going to be after this month lol.Interesting...What motherboard allows you to run 6 gpus or do you have two rigs?

So if you try that rate, using your current rig, what are the results?
