Ehh would have to be Thursday before I could go by there. And I'm sure there would already have been hundreds call by then. Might not even bother.

The regular black one looks good too. Surely that would be the easiest to obtain.

Scrolling the thread seems there's a lot of new colors of the oyster perpetual.

Try calling then if that's all you can do. All of the stainless ones will be very hard to get, including the black.

Also looks like the Hulk might be discontinued as it doesn't have a page for the updated one.

Think I'll just stick with my black two tone sub. Really no need for another black dial submariner. The Hulk looked better than the kermit imo. Don't get me wrong I'd still love to have one. The BLNR is still on the wish list though, probably just as unlikely to get it.

They damn well know that people were waiting for that steel, blue-dial, no-date sub with a blue bezel.

Agreed, Hulk looks much better. BLNR is on my list too. I called my connect in Playa Del Carmen and he just gave me the run around. Mofo had the nerve to tell me MAYBE if I buy two pieces off him at the same time or if I buy other non Rolex watches.

I heard from a local AD that the store in Cozumel gets a lot of the hidden gem/sought after watches.

I saw someone mention on a youtube video they thought it was unlikely they'd release that just because of how popular it would be. He said the watches now sell out very quickly as it is, and they would keep something like that in their back pocket if they ever needed a boost. Interesting take.

Doubt you'd ever see it, since blue sub = gold of some sort currently.

You’re probably right. I imagine it has the potential to end up in this area of the market, were it to happen.
https://thewatchlounge.com/patek-phi...5711-1a-price/

So far, I haven’t seen a no-date sub with blue dial even on WG though. I may be wrong. Regardless, that would be a beautiful configuration IMO.

Fake and ghey.

Submariner updates bringing the movement “Up to date” to match the Tudor black bay power reserve and water depth.

A sky dweller with ugly rubber straps

36mm datejusts. Great for the sloots.

And new 41mm oyster perpetuals with new colors. I mean cool if I was in the market for one but since Im fuking not, back to just waiting to purchase my dj41 on jubilee

What did you expect though? Rolex pretty much just makes changes to existing models every year. It's rare to get an entirely new model like the SkyD or YMII, or even the Deep Sea. Even this was a pretty big change with the Sub, making the lugs slimmer (which a lot of people have been begging for forever), gave it the new movement which probably won't change for another 20-30 years, changed the size a bit, gave it some new colors while getting rid of another color..

I feel like their updates are always halfway satisfying. Take the oyster perpetual for instance:

- Great idea adding a 41mm model. This solidifies it as the Rolex Aqua Terra. Offering it both in 36 and 41 ensures they'll sell like hot cakes as it will be a lot of young men and women's first rolex.

- I also like the subtle dual indices at 3 and 9 oclock.

- But then i'm like "what in the god damn fuk?" when i saw the colors. that green, yellow, red, and tiffany's blue. But whatever I won't hate, wasn't in the market for the watch to begin with, sure it looks very crisp in person.

- Datejust they just took a phatchit on by only updating 31mm models.

- Submariner, i suppose i'll have to see a new and old one side by side. The lugs never seemed that bad to me but I guess it was to some people.

Edit: I will say this. Rolex was smart in updating the OP to 41mm, updating the dial, and adding various colors. This will probably result in a wave of new profit on a piece that was their bottom feeder without releasing a new submariner color that would only result in more lowstock/waitlist fukery.

Rolex also seems to be standardizing product lines better. Meaning….similar cases….sizes…etc… So maybe there will be a slight improvement in output without 39749708237 different datejust combos, OPs in a different size, etc.

Hope so. You shouldn’t have to go to the second hand market to get a sub, or pay 16k for a blnr.

I talked all the trash but watch me go into the AD this December, start comparing the smooth bezel dj41 next to the new OPs and end up walking out with the OP lol. I have to hand it to em, that "silver" dial with the goldish indices and markers looks really fuking clean. at least on the website.

oddly enough, i remember a review video of guy talking about his submariner, complaining that the lug caught hit kid in the forehead or something when he went to give them a hug and they got injured.

What website would ya'll use to buy preowned watches? I got my Omega from Crown and Caliber, and I was very pleased with dealing with them as I live in GA and they're based in Atlanta. Also was cool they told you the date of the watch, and whether it came with box and papers on there. But would like a couple others to regularly check as well.

The only other site I know of is WatchBox and it seems like their prices are more outrageous than Crown and Caliber, and on most of the Rolex subs they didn't even say how old the watch was..

Watchbox

DavidSW

Those are the only ones I would even consider. Watchbox is so expensive only because Tim Mosso is in their back pocket and "you buy the seller".

also LOL, congrats to all you Hulk owners. Those chits rocketed up to 20k to 25k in the after market. Originally a $5500 watch i believe. Mind = Blown

Tim is a hell of a salesman. I’ve bought a watch from Federico (Federico Talks Watches). It was a good experience overall, and a great deal. I recommend buying from people who are known in the industry, just because they have more to lose from a bad review than they have to gain from ripping you off/scamming you.

I believe it originally retailed for around $9,000, but you could get discounts a couple years in when they turned out to be not that popular. Until this past January 1st, Rolex had not had any price increases for a long time. I'm not even sure if the Hulk ever even had price increase before this last Jan 1 one.

You think they'll actually have watches in the case available to look at? lolz.

AD last week told me that they were told to expect to be able to receive the new watches easily by the end of the year. Thought was they were "prepared" for production back in march when Bazel gets cancelled.

Im with you though….those OPs might be a nice "color" pop to have in the collection. And im curious what they look like in person. If it's sunburst dials, im in trouble.
